We have some Turkish friends whose daughter is called Miray - "shining like the moon". It's beautiful 😍

This thread is making me sad we're definitely not having a third...

Why hasn't Florian caught on in the UK? Or Stiliyan?

Aurelia

This one, so very pretty. I love saying it and can’t believe it hasn’t become more popular here.

I love Diego. Mario, on the other hand, can only be a tiny plumber.

Yes to Katja!

dd2 had a friend with this name (mostly called Nilu which is also lovely). I just love it.

@Calliopespa I didn’t think it was nice until I learned how to pronounce it. I saw it like you until then.

We all associate things and people with names though.

2 of my granddaughters are Faith & Hope. I have custody of them and I hate telling people their names lol. They are so trite sounding together.

Edited

Yes, well I'm sorry. I regret my hasty post.

I agree the Faith and Hope is quite 😬

Clodagh. I think it’s so pretty

Actually @Rachie1973 I have missed the edit window, but I didn't need to make that comment about Clodagh. I was just so taken aback to see my least favourite name. I accept my association is probably very niche ...

But sorry for pouring cold water on your contribution: it was rude.
