Hiya everyone,
Ive just a had a little boy and he doesn’t have a name! His sister is called Charlotte Elizabeth and we had a girls name picked out but can’t agree on boys names.

Names we can’t use: Alexander, Daniel, Matthew, Benjamin, Jacob, Thomas, Noah, George, Alfred, Max, Leo, Jonathon, Nicholas

Please can you give some suggestions, as I can’t seem to think of anything I like and can use.
Thank you so much!
Kate x

Indeed!

It’s a shame you can’t use Alexander as that was going to be my suggestion - with Xander as a shortening.
I think the following are lovely with Charlotte;
Zachary
Samuel
Gabriel
Finlay
Michael
Wilfred
Edison
Jack
Nathaniel

edited because I didn’t read the op properly 🙄

I love Joseph, especially for a December baby. Classic and timeless.

Yes, Henry, Edward, Samuel I love and think they work with Charlotte and Elizabeth. William also has similar "DNA" as a name, though I'm never fond of Will.

I also rather like Harold at the moment - Harry for short - and think it is underused.

ETA also think Tobias and Frederick work.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 05/12/2025 18:44

I've got a family member whose children are called Charlotte and Robert.

I also know a Charlotte whose brother is called Thomas and another Charlotte whose brother's are Toby and Henry.

I think all those work really well

Thanks so much for all these replies!
We’ve decided his middle name will be James as it’s a family name.
Jospeh, Oliver and Henry keep being suggested and we both agree on these 3 so any of these you think are better?
Thanks again!

I love Joseph - such a gorgeous classic that you don’t hear that often. And he can be Joey when little, and Joe when older if he likes.

I’ve gone off Oliver because every other boy seems to be called Oliver round us - they are all known as Olly surname. Henry is popular too, but not quite as much - that’s a great choice too.
