Effie or Pippa

Hi all, so I posted last night about whether we should spell Effie as Effie or Effy. I think Effie won by far. However this has reopened the conversation on if we should use Pippa instead.
We have an older DD but I’m reluctant to share her name as it was mentioned on a different thread and very unpopular.

We are pretty much down to Effie or Pippa, not really looking for other options, nor do we really care if you think they are both awful. We won’t be doing full names as we prefer the shortened version and we stuck to that with DD1.

I guess my question is Effie or Pippa?
Please be kind and consider I’m not actually asking your thoughts on the names or whether you would use them or what you would use instead. If you don’t like either name feel free not to vote and scroll on!

Pippa if I had to, though I seem to remember it means something sexual in Swedish, if that bothers you.

What do you like about Effie? It's quite "nothing" imo It's better as a family nick name for a nicer full name - Fern/Flora/Frankie

Pippa/Pip both lovely options

That’s a really good question. DH was very much team Effie both for our first and now. So I guess I’ve grown to like it. He isn’t that forceful though and loves Pippa too.

Yes, Pippa is really nice. Short and fun but still feels very much like a proper name (I've known a couple of adult Pippas and they were lovely like their name!)

Pippa is great. And not over-used.

Lends itself to cute nn’s too

Hmmm, not a fan of either. Have you considered using the full names? Or another name entirely?

(I joke. I like Pippa!)

Haha! You nearly had me there. I think I slightly lean towards Pippa too. Mainly as DD1 has a name that ends in a “ee” sound and I worry Effie might be too similar sounding.
