Not pregnant, just wanting to expand horizons. I love ‘old lady’ names and wondered if anyone had any to add? So far I love:

Mabel
Elizabeth (although I think this is more classic than old lady)

I really love the name Mary.

Also really like Euphemia, Violet, Verity, Gladys and Hilda.

My guilty "like" is Gertrude - I know lots of people really hate it but I've always really liked it.

My grandmothers were Kate and Anne Elizabeth so wouldn't fit 'old lady' names.

Betty, Edie, Margaret (apparently she can get married free in an amazing place in Edinburgh if that's her name).
It's funny how things go in circles, and how different it is in America, where names we might think of as old Millennial/young Gen X can be considered old!

I love 'Cora', like the little girl from Titanic. I've never met a real life Cora before, young or old!

I had two teachers in the late 70s / early 80s named Cora.

It's very much an Irish granny name.

I had a friend called Agnes in the 70s and it sounded old lady even then
