Am I crazy to think this would actually make a beautiful name? (Not pregnant but adore names and name-meanings and adding to my list for when that day finally comes)

ChatGPT says fewer than 5 babies were named it last year in the UK so I’m not the first to have the thought!

Nope sorry and if they have Scottish friends, they'll be called Poe-yem. (*Scottish here and that is my pet hate!).

it’s no different, in my opinion, to names like Harmony, Lyric, Melody, Allegra or any other music-related names. It’s just writing-related. Or even people that name their children after characters in books or the authors names/surnames!

If I met a little Poem I would assume her parents were quite individual, artsy, creative and lovers of words. Much like ourselves. Interesting that others view it differently but then again we are all from different backgrounds and upbringings.

@YYYDlilah I’ve no idea if your misspelling is trying to denote that you think it is “chavvy” without saying as such. But as above, I’d see it as quite the opposite 😊

I have heard of the name Poesy - meaning poetry.
I have never met a Poem or Poesy.

There is also Quilla - meaning writer.
