Daisy or Zoe

Loveshine · 18/10/2025 22:05

I have a little girl Rowan. Obviously very biased but much prefer it for a girl.

PiggieWig · 18/10/2025 22:01

Daisy 🩵

LadyDarcy80s · 18/10/2025 21:59

In order:
Zoe - like
Nina - like

Rowan - too unisex
Daisy - a bit twee
Robyn/ Robin - too unisex
Frida - I sort of like it but Freda seems like an old woman's name.
Romy - nothingy
Sylvie - don't like it. Sylvia is horrible

Yes agree except quite like Sylvie. Daisy seems Ok for a young child but not for an adult.

Sylvie is stunning and would be my pick - I’ve loved the sound of it since I first heard the eponymous St Etienne song when I was a kid. I know it’s much trendier now than it used to be, but thankfully I don’t think it’s super popular yet.

I also think Nina and Frida are pretty and I quite like Romy too (although it always feels like it should be a nickname for something like Romola or Rosemary).

The others aren’t as much my taste - Rowan is all boys to me and I prefer the sound of Robin for boys too. Zoe is just a bit “blah” for me and Daisy is too cutesy imo, sorry.

IndigoBluey · 18/10/2025 21:52

@FlutteryButterflyRemi is lovely never heard it

Sleepnplay · 18/10/2025 21:47

Great list! 3 of your names were on my shortlist for dd- I really love Rowan for a girl, and also really like Nina and Zoe.

Zoe or Daisy.

Theextraordinaryisintheordinary · 18/10/2025 21:32

Fleur?

Theextraordinaryisintheordinary · 18/10/2025 21:31

Sylvie. Love a French name. Elodie gorgeous too. I saw a beautiful piece of art today by an artist called Etel. Loved it.

TappyGilmore · 18/10/2025 21:28

I know children with all of those names, and it’s hard not to have the child influence my view of the name! Except Robyn, I don’t know any child Robyns, I know a few aged about 50-60 and consider it quite dated so wouldn’t use that. I don’t like Frida either.

Zoe is my favourite, I wanted to use that for DD but didn’t because my cousin had used it for his daughter who is a little older. Rowan or Romy would probably be my other picks from the list.

fairycupcakes · 18/10/2025 21:21

Love Sylvie!

ekk100 · 18/10/2025 21:21

Be aware Rowan is pronounced differently in different parts of the UK. In England it is like 'row your boat', in Scotland like 'have a row/argument'. Scots often mistake it for Rohan.

user2848502016 · 18/10/2025 21:21

Sylvie or Rowan

LasVegass · 18/10/2025 21:18

Love Sylvie/Sylvia, Daisy and Nina.

Bishopstail · 18/10/2025 21:15

I like Robyn, Nina, Sylvie.

17caterpillars1mouse · 18/10/2025 21:10

Daisy - duck, oopsie daisy - I always think its sounds a bit juvenile and twee

Sylvie - pretty

Robyn/ Robin - ive met so many baby Robyn / Robins recently both boys and girls

Rowan - lovely but i much prefer it for a boy and all the ones ive met recently are boys

Romy - not a fan, but the only one i know is a boy

Zoe - lovely and underused

Frida - not a fan

Nina - not a fan

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 18/10/2025 19:54

Daisy

Pemba · 18/10/2025 19:50

I agree, Zoe or Nina, lovely and sophisticated.

I have a soft spot for Daisy, but I suppose it could be a seen as a bit cutesy.

Quite like Rowan (nicer on a girl imo) and Sylvie is pretty, but Sylvia would be better.

Elephantangel1991 · 18/10/2025 10:51

Lots of nice names, my favourites are Nina and Zoe.

Mandarinaduck · 18/10/2025 10:08

This is a nice list. The names sound fresh, sweet, simple and pretty.

I really like Frida.

Other suggestions:

Sara
Vita
Noa
Cleo
Laurel
