My friend suggested this as a potential for my baby girl but I'm not so keen. Partner is on the fence, no stronger feeling either way.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Maisie
Macy
Louisa
Michaela
Luella

Hard nosed, chain smoking, teen mum, uneducated, five kids by five different men.

A type of herbal tea.
Also, awful for a person.

lollypop42 · 14/10/2025 22:18

another hard no

peony89 · 14/10/2025 22:16

Huge hairbow, pierced ears, massive dummy, newborn wearing a full tracksuit with trainers all in baby pink.

Is it even a name? Or a subbrand of dairy-lea?

I can’t unsee this!

OneAquaGoose · 14/10/2025 20:19

Maci-Lea is wearing a pink headband with a massive bow on and has gold earrings.

Yes. She most certainly is.

dizzydizzydizzy · 14/10/2025 22:09

Parents who can't spell is what pops into my head. Sorry OP, not my bag at all. I prefer traditional names like Elizabeth, Joanna or Laura.

elliejjtiny · 14/10/2025 21:07

And those knee high socks with big bows on to match.

And a leopard print puffer jacket

Jugjug · 14/10/2025 21:55

Mumsnet hates double barreled names.
Two such threads in a few days suggests a wind up 😂 who am I to spoil your fun though

MellowPinkDeer · 14/10/2025 21:54

It’s just gross. Nothing more to say.

Sounds like maccy d's aka McDonald's!!

Megifer · 14/10/2025 21:50

I think your friend is very likely just having a joke with you, like the time I suggested Shitballs as a name to my mate, just a bit of craic etc.

TheShyMumX · 14/10/2025 21:47

I think that Maci-Lea would look like a generic baby… however if my child was at school and asked if Maci-Lea could come round for dinner I’d assume the woman in the playground who looks like Vicky Pollard would be her mother

Am I only one who is reading Maci as being pronounced "May-see" (so like the name Macy/Macey) rather than "Macky"??

RememberDecember · 14/10/2025 21:38

Maccy-D all the way!

DramaAlpaca · 14/10/2025 21:37

Dreadful. So bad I suspect OP is 'aving a larf.

MrsPositivity1 · 14/10/2025 21:37

Sounds like Maccy D’s as in McDonald’s

BobbyBrewstersMagicTorch · 14/10/2025 21:36

Sounds too much like Maccy D

supersonicginandtonic · 14/10/2025 21:36

I know a Maci-Lee her brother is J'Nayden 🤢

Namechangeforthis88 · 14/10/2025 21:35

Maci-lea is being brought up by her grandparents, mum is trying to get it together.

diddl · 14/10/2025 21:34

Not sure I could be friends with someone who suggested that.

Be a bit dubious of a partner who was only on the fence as well.
