Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s even too on the nose for an OnlyFans name!

Feel really bad for a child I know whose hyphenated chav name ends -Blu. She was born before Bonnie Blue was a thing, but now 😳😳😳

CherrieTomaties · 09/10/2025 19:46

My friend has just had a Lilah. (Pronounced Lie-la, like the Oasis song)

Beau could be nice a middle name though? Lilah Beau?

But Beau-Lilah doesn’t have a nice ring to it at all, sorry.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/10/2025 19:44

Lilah Beau would be a lot nicer or better still Lilah Belle

BCBird · 09/10/2025 19:44

Beau should be for a boy and Belle for a girl if u must use them. I remember being in a shop where a woman was called Beau- noooo

Yep - really enjoying the thread. Sorry for the OP though - she’s getting a pasting !! I can guarantee if they go ahead with the name, the child will be known at school as ‘beaunhead’ !! Kids can be cruel enough without parents supplying the ammunition for them to fire.

Given the reason for the thread is for MNers to get on their high horses about chavvy names, I wouldn’t feel too sorry for the OP.

EdithBond · 09/10/2025 19:36

Not a name I’d like to saddle anyone with.

I’m not a fan of hyphenated names. Too much of a mouthful.

I’d go for one or the other and use the other one as a middle name.

Why do people have to use the ‘c’ word? It’s really so offensive. It’s a Romani word, so shouldn’t be used in a derogatory way.

If you mean ‘people who I consider to be lower class than me’, then just say it.

Calliopespa · 09/10/2025 19:36

Do Australians still talk about Bogans?

You could spell it Beau-Ghan.

Calliopespa · 09/10/2025 19:34

lessglittermoremud · 09/10/2025 18:58

It would be better if you switched it around and changed ‘Beau’ with ‘Bo’, so Lilah-Bo if you want to use that name.
2 of my children have names that are usually used by males but I have come across 2 girls called the same, it was a little odd purely because I’m so used to associating the name with a boy but the names do work for girls.
Beau is not one of those names that’s interchangeable as it’s a masculine version of the name Belle, so you could do Lilah-Belle then when she’s older she could pick which name to choose, Lilah-Belle I think is pretty for a hyphenated name.

Or just go for Labubu.

Daisymay2 · 09/10/2025 19:33

My immediate thought was the car museum in Hampshire?

Calliopespa · 09/10/2025 19:32

MeetMyCat · 09/10/2025 18:14

That’s unkind. But it made me laugh!!!

mind you I say GeeooOOrge.

Charlize43 · 09/10/2025 19:32

Is it for a drag queen?

LemonJellyLegs · 09/10/2025 19:30

No, but what about Jimberly??

latishia6 · 09/10/2025 19:27

Lol

autienotnaughty · 09/10/2025 19:26

Love Beau don’t like Lilah or hyphenated names

Rainbowcat77 · 09/10/2025 19:24

well it’s not to my taste at all, if you have your heart set on those two names how about Lilah Beau with Beau as a middle name rather than hyphenated?
that at least flows a bit better.

Excitedbride2b · 09/10/2025 19:23

Beau is the masculine version. Bo for a girl

Rosscameasdoody · 09/10/2025 19:14

Beau legs. I’ll get my coat…………..

Flowerpower70 · 09/10/2025 19:14

“Skegness” is clearly the best name out of that lot! 🤣🤣🤣

I thought that but the one that made me spit coffee was Beau-l.

InveterateWineDrinker · 09/10/2025 19:07

Sounds too much like Bohica.

As in 'Bend Over, Here It Comes Again'. Usually encountered as a state of mind in a team with really poor management.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 09/10/2025 19:07

Lilah Belle, maybe?

Tigerbalmshark · 09/10/2025 19:06
