Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
jetlag92 · 09/10/2025 21:21

Just don't post on these when the poster doesn't reply.
It's either a troll or MN trying to get more hits.

VeryTik Toky social media type name, not something anyone wants to be saddled with professionally or in their 60's. Self indulgent parents

It sounds like you are blowing a raspberry with a very big, wet tongue.

Yes, it does!

It also sounds like a good name for an inflatable sex doll!

Blow-Up Beau-Lilo! 🙀

SouthernNights59 · 09/10/2025 21:04

I actually quite like, but I live in a country where there are all sorts of unusual names and we are not quite as rigid as people seem to be in the UK.

If you like it OP then it really, really, doesn't matter what other people think.

MostlyNormalSometimesOdd · 09/10/2025 21:03

That'll go nicely with the DryRobe and the TentBox on the school run

Soupandaroll · 09/10/2025 21:00

PurBal · 09/10/2025 14:29

Do you mean Beulah? (A biblical girls name)

And a breed of sheep

ToadRage · 09/10/2025 20:59

No, just no, double barrelled names are just ridiculous anyway and Beau is a boys name. Lilah is ok if you knock of the H and spell it Lila but tbh I'd forget the whole thing.

EastGrinstead · 09/10/2025 20:56

It's amazing the number of posters taking the trouble to reply to a bored teenager who barely managed the effort to write:

Beau-Lilah for a girl
Thoughts?

Starbri8 · 09/10/2025 20:53

Hi Op, I'm not a fan of both names together , the flow is peculiar . However I love the name Beau and it is the given name of my youngest girl. People always harp on about it being the masculine spelling in french for a boy . I was well aware of this when i chose it, i studied french in uni but language is fluid and ever changing and I like the sound and the spelling . My feisty Beau who at five yrs old loves martial arts could never be a dainty Belle . She owns her name. Her second name is Alexandra but we don’t use that day to day. Some girls suit masculine names Stevie Nicks , Daryl Hannah , Glen Close to name a few . ❤️

opencecilgee · 09/10/2025 20:49

Lilah on its own is quite chavvy. Beau lilah is a joke

Perfidia · 09/10/2025 20:47

And no sign of the OP since 2.09 this afternoon?

Suckas!

Hmm
Chrunchienuts · 09/10/2025 20:47

Belle
Bella

Bonnie
Delilah

But not Beau-Lilah.

Slebs · 09/10/2025 20:46

Alternatives-3

Beau-Tox
Dermal-Filler
Radio-Frequency
Micro-Needling
Katie-Price

RaraRachael · 09/10/2025 20:46

Just don't saddle your child with this monstrosity of a "name".
I don't like either name, but hyphenated it's too awful for words.

Contrarymary30 · 09/10/2025 20:44

Poor baby 👶

MrsDoubtfire1 · 09/10/2025 20:40

Why not just call the child Lilah which is very pretty. Remember, she has to live with it for the rest of her life. This is not about you but about her.

Spookyspaghetti · 09/10/2025 20:40

Rosscameasdoody · 09/10/2025 20:17

Beau-T Mc Beau-T face.

Oh dear, I can’t imagine the op will be back. 😆 (sorry op)

In terms of vaguely sensible alternatives, Blue is very popular now so
Blue-Delilah
Delilah-Blue
Layla
Lola
Leah
Leona

I thought the Starbucks idea further up was great. I’ve got a mildly out there name that I usually have to spell out so end up giving my DPs name.

fluffiphlox · 09/10/2025 20:40

That’s a scratter name if ever I heard one.

TwinklyStork · 09/10/2025 20:38

Oh fuck no, that’s hideous. Are you a particularly chavvy family that you think it’s nice?

jollygreenpea · 09/10/2025 20:36

Dreadful, absolutely dreadful. Why would anyone be so cruel to a child.

WhisperingAngelisnotbad · 09/10/2025 20:36

Belle is the feminine of beau, as I recall, and has some of the same sounds.

Or Bella?

Belinda? - which also has 3 syllables? Could be shortened to Belle or Bella later by the child, or to Lin or or Lindy or Linda?

Or Tallulah? which also sounds not dissimilar, with 3 syllables?

21ZIGGY · 09/10/2025 20:35

I think we can all assume given op's failure to come back that she was thinking of calling her baby this

PGmicstand · 09/10/2025 20:34

No. Please don't.

NewHome2026 · 09/10/2025 20:33

Awful

Jollyhockeysticks1 · 09/10/2025 20:30

Would you employ a Catherine/Emily/Hannah/Rachel/Charlotte/or a Beau-Lilah? Giving her a god-awful name such as that is setting her up for failure and to be the subject of ridicule in every aspect of her life. Can you imagine a Dr Beau-Lilah?
