Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
alexdgr8 · 09/10/2025 14:34

I think this must be a joke
Or deliberately provocative...

Do you mean Beulah? (A biblical girls name)

I wondered if they were trying to spell that too. Beulah is a nice name, but Beau-Lilah is a mouthful, mixing boy/girl names, and too much potential confusion for pronunciation. Plus surely everyone would bother with the second part and just call them Beau for short?

sheknowsitstoolate · 09/10/2025 14:32

My thought is no

noidea69 · 09/10/2025 14:31

What in the live, laugh, love?

Separately they are fine, but combined together, not great.

purpleygrey · 09/10/2025 14:30

That’s a pretty shit name tbh.

stargirl27 · 09/10/2025 14:29

Not a huge fan of Beau for a girl. Maybe just Lilah?

ainsleysanob · 09/10/2025 14:25

Horrible. Sorry! Both parts of it too the Beau and the Lilah.

Beamur · 09/10/2025 14:24

Lilah on its own is nicer

Order a coffee in Starbucks and give that as your name when they ask. Then consider whether you want your daughter to go through life having to do the same…

This is such a good name test Grin

If you would feel embarrassed doing this then it's not a fair name to saddle a child with!

ACatAsleepInYourHat · 09/10/2025 14:20

As others have pointed out, Beau is masculine. How about Belle something? You could take your cue from Toast of London and call her Belle-Enda...?

Firebird83 · 09/10/2025 14:17

Bumdrops · 09/10/2025 14:10

Honestly that’s the chavviest name I’ve seen / heard for a while -

OP - what are your thoughts ?

Agree with this!

WaffleParty · 09/10/2025 14:16

You’re joking right?

Filofaxforlife · 09/10/2025 14:16

Sorry OP it doesn’t work because it’s male/female. No one will use both parts of a hyphenated name so just use Lilah. Also how is Lilah pronounced is it Lie-Lar or Lil-ah or Lee-lar? Even that single name will cause you issues.

doreuol · 09/10/2025 14:16

Please don’t!

blankcanvas3 · 09/10/2025 14:15

Beau is a boys name but even if it wasn’t that would be horrific

AgnesMcDoo · 09/10/2025 14:15

Oh dear

CharlieKirkRIP · 09/10/2025 14:14

Utterly grim.

CocoPlum · 09/10/2025 14:13

Beau for a girl is always odd - it means handsome in French, it's the masculine version of Belle.

It's not for me OP, but you name your child what you like.

martha4clark · 09/10/2025 14:13

The baby will grow up to be an adult woman - can you imagine a 40, 50, 60 (…..) yr old called that??

WolfieMuma · 09/10/2025 14:13

So, pronounced “Bo-Lee-la”?

Then, no.. absolutely not

ACatAsleepInYourHat · 09/10/2025 14:13

Good grief, that's awful. Shouldn't you be on the current Chav Names thread, OP?

Perplexled · 09/10/2025 14:13

IdaGlossop · 09/10/2025 14:13

Sounds like 'bow lilo' to me. Don't like it at all.

coxesorangepippin · 09/10/2025 14:12

Just no
