That is a terrible terrible name

mmmarmalade · 09/10/2025 15:03

You may as well call them
Pretentious-Moi?

Frogs88 · 09/10/2025 14:55

Sorry but I really don’t like it. How about Delilah or Boudicca?

God, they are just as bad! 😂

Foundress · 09/10/2025 15:01

Only if her brother is called Balonz.

Dreadful. Beau (Bo) with anything is dreadful. All I see is this. And I HATE Craig David's dreadful repetitive songs more than anyone else's.

Truly dreadful

IfHeWantedToHeWould · 09/10/2025 14:57

I work with children and it’s one of those that we would roll our eyes at.

Also I hate hyphenated names, no one’s got time for that.

What about Beau-den? Or Beau-Peep?

Middle name could be Lost-My-Sheep

VickyEadieofThigh · 09/10/2025 14:56

Go full ridiculous and call her Beau-Narno.

It's a horrid name. However, I don't mind 'Beau' for a girl, it's quite nice I think. The hyphenation of Beau-Lilah is however horrendous and as PP have said, incredibly chavvy.

TheBlueHotel · 09/10/2025 14:55

On the off chance this isn't rage bait - it's a bad name. Beau means handsome (masculine) in French, double barrel first names are dated, having a one syllable followed by two syllables flows badly and the two names next to each other look bad.

LadyAsnowt · 09/10/2025 14:54

Sounds like a brand name for a well-sprung mattress.

Tablesandchairs23 · 09/10/2025 14:54

Lilah is a lovely name. Beautiful is awful.

Carodebalo · 09/10/2025 14:53

So sorry, but no.

LondonLady1980 · 09/10/2025 14:53

I can always rely on a Baby Name thread to cheer me up 😁

purpleme12 · 09/10/2025 14:53

It always seems strange to me when Beau is used for a girl when it's french and comes from the masculine version of the word

freakingscared · 09/10/2025 14:53

Lilah ok but the 2 together ? No it screams chav unless it’s for a pet ?

TwinklyWrinkly · 09/10/2025 14:53

How do you plan to pronounce it?

Bow lye-la (short 'a' sound at the end)
Bow lye-larr
Bow Lee-la ( (short 'a' sound at the end))
Bow Lee-larr
Bowly Larr

Any which way, no, poor child is going to spend their lives spelling it and pronouncing it for everyone.

Sosickofarrogance · 09/10/2025 14:52

I like traditional names.

However, it does look pretty written down. I do think your baby might get some teasing though.

Maybe something simpler would be easier for both of you.

AliceMaforethought · 09/10/2025 14:52

Dire.

ChristmasFluff · 09/10/2025 14:52

I prefer Beau-Sele-Chtar

LeavesOnTrees · 09/10/2025 14:51

It's awful
