Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
stillhiding1990 · 09/10/2025 15:22

Bolayla?

Her other brother could be Beau-Lox...

I like the Bo-Lox spelling for that.

Well, I'd name change too if I was planning to give my child such a terrible name.

We scared them away.
Or they saw sense.

Yes. Usernames like that always make me wonder if they're a bot or somethimg.

Orpheya · 09/10/2025 15:21

If you are caught up in these exact letter, call her Bolivia, since it is a country and just lie your great grandma lived there before coming here to marry a rich English man;

or:

Belinda, since sound similar
or simply Bella-Lilly

Fionasapples · 09/10/2025 15:21

Dreadful, sorry

BunnyLake · 09/10/2025 15:21

FunnysInLaJardin · 09/10/2025 14:11

pronounced like Delilah?

Why, why, why, Beau-Lilah.

Honest option or polite opinion?

Awful, absolutely awful.

Lilah on its own is lovely though. Stick with that and she’ll be fine. Put bloody Beau in front and she’ll forever be having to explain her name and people will just take the mick.

Silvers11 · 09/10/2025 15:20

How on earth do you pronounce it 😂😂😂This has to be a joke? Right?

Needmorelego · 09/10/2025 15:19

allmymonkeys · 09/10/2025 15:15

Isn't it Beulah? I've only ever seen the name used in a Robert Heinlein book, but I believe it's biblical. Is that perhaps what they were thinking of?

I know a place that has Beulah as part of it's name and locally it's pronounced as "Bu-Lah"
Beau Lilah is completely different ("Bow-Lie-lah")
I quite like Beulah though as a name.

UnDruidlyWords · 09/10/2025 15:18

God, no, it's awful. Sounds terrible and she'll have to spell it out for people for the rest of her life, imagine saddling your child with that.

BunnyLake · 09/10/2025 15:18

Why hyphenate two names that don’t connect or flow in any way? Are you really going to be saying Beau-Lilah all the time?

Wadadli · 09/10/2025 15:18

DeeThree · 09/10/2025 14:12

Well Beau is male, so for that reason... I'm out
🙄

Same 😂

My thoughts are this is a poor attempt at a wind-up. 0/10

BubblyBath178 · 09/10/2025 15:17

Hideous.

Mothership4two · 09/10/2025 15:16

Truly awful and setting her up for a lifetime of "sorry what was that?" and "and how do you spell that?"

HGSurvivor1 · 09/10/2025 15:16

Sorry OP but I absolutely hate it. I like Lilah on its own, but the Beau makes it sounds so cheap and contradictory.

HedwigHedgepig · 09/10/2025 15:16

Then I saw her face, now I'm a Beau-Lilah...

allmymonkeys · 09/10/2025 15:15

Isn't it Beulah? I've only ever seen the name used in a Robert Heinlein book, but I believe it's biblical. Is that perhaps what they were thinking of?

Purplecatshopaholic · 09/10/2025 15:15

Oh dear. Please don’t ever subject a child to that name.

YYYDlilah · 09/10/2025 15:15

Why why why Beau-Lilah?

Brickiscool · 09/10/2025 15:14

Ditch the hyphen and it goes from awful to merely bad.
