Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
chaosmaker · 09/10/2025 15:48

@w9828971 why would you name a child 'be a liar'?

Grammarnut · 09/10/2025 15:48

butterfly0404 · 09/10/2025 15:45

Lilah-Belle is much nicer

Redolent of ante-bellum Georgia?

NearlyChocLogTime · 09/10/2025 15:48

Nowadays it seems any combination of the letters of the alphabet can be a child's name.

Bonkers

Figgygal · 09/10/2025 15:47

I won't be as rude as some others but its an absolute no from me too

Grammarnut · 09/10/2025 15:47

Bad idea. Beau is a male adjective meaning handsome (not that it matters)! and Lila doesn't go with it at all. I am down on people saying names are chavvy and will not do so; this name just doesn't work and sounds more like something you use in the bath or put on your face with a couple of cucumber slices. Sorry, don't like it.

KarensCalling · 09/10/2025 15:47

Probably not unless your permanent residence is a caravan

Pronounced 'Bohlyler'? Sounds absolutely ridiculous.

KimTheresPeopleThatAreDying · 09/10/2025 15:45

Wind them up and watch them go, eh, OP?

butterfly0404 · 09/10/2025 15:45

Lilah-Belle is much nicer

Sassylovesbooks · 09/10/2025 15:45

All I think of is Bueller, as in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', I know it's pronounced differently....Or bowler as in a bowler hat...Beau is a boy's name for a start and the other half Lilah, makes me wonder where the rest of the name is as it's similar to Delilah. Your child has to grow up into an adult with whatever name you choose. This is two mishmash names put together, that don't work. Please don't saddle your child with this name.

God, they are just as bad! 😂

I mean I don’t like them either, but I wouldn’t say as bad… 😂

DolphinOnASkateboard · 09/10/2025 15:39

Big no from me.

drspouse · 09/10/2025 15:36

My, my, my, Beau-lilah!

Hankunamatata · 09/10/2025 15:34

Belle or Bella

ThatshallotBaby · 09/10/2025 15:33

@w9828971
I like it. I think it’s pretty and musical, Don’t worry about what other people think though, the only person’s opinions that ever truly matters is your own.

SpudsAndCarrots · 09/10/2025 15:29

I'd be embarrassed even naming a dog or cat that, definitely not. Lilah on its own is OK.

DottieMoon · 09/10/2025 15:29

I like both names....separately, NOT TOGETHER.

Jollyhockeysticks1 · 09/10/2025 15:28

Please don't put your child at a disadvantage in life before they are born.

Blorengia · 09/10/2025 15:26

If you (or your friend/acquaintance) must go down this route, how about the 'real' name - Beulah?

EveningSpread · 09/10/2025 15:26

Or is it meant to be like Beulah, but Beulilah?

KitWyn · 09/10/2025 15:25

Lila is lovely!

It also works both as a child and later as an adult e.g.

Is Lila free to come to Jane's 8th birthday party on Friday? They are such good friends!

I think Lila is the outstanding candidate for promotion to the Board. We should appoint her.

If you insert a possible name in both, and one makes you wince, it's probably not a good idea.

Hundslappadrifa · 09/10/2025 15:24

You’re having a laugh, right? 😂

Calliopespa · 09/10/2025 15:23

BunnyLake · 09/10/2025 15:21

Yes. Usernames like that always make me wonder if they're a bot or somethimg.

...trying to find out how the hoomans fink.
