Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Absolute dumpster fire of a name. Didn’t want to insult hillbillies or trailer park dwellers, many of whom are lovely I’m sure. If the quest is to have a name that absolutely nobody else will have and that kid will have to spell out every single time for their whole life because their parent wants them to be uniquely special, kid won’t thank you. They usually name their own eventual kids Mary and John-type names.

dumpster fire of a name? WTAF? 😆

Never heard that expression before! 😂

Where have you gone OP??????

Little Beau-Peep has lost her sheep ...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 09/10/2025 16:03

I read it as the placename Beaulieu. (pronounced Bewley). Makes about as much sense.

Just awful are you having a boy or a girl and stick with a name that fits that gender, not something you think is unique as unique names are often those that kids get bullied for and other parents think the parents that gave them those names are t*ats

Stoufer · 09/10/2025 16:01

OP has not responded - I suspect it was just a click-bait thread to generate some frothing on a quiet day…

you do know this baby is going to grow up go through school high school etc with this name untill they at least 18 and go to the deed pole office I swear some parents who give their kids daft names don't know this fact

Someone once told me that before you name a child you should consider how it will sound when they're made head of MI6, and yeah I'm not sure this one passes that particular test.

I slightly don't believe you.

Yesshadow · 09/10/2025 15:57

Sounds like a vomit

PrestonHood121 · 09/10/2025 15:55

This is a wind up, right?

Ellie56 · 09/10/2025 15:54

Nope. Just nope.

Pushmepullu · 09/10/2025 15:54

I wish parents would think really carefully about giving their child an ‘unusual’ name. My first name isn’t English and although I call myself by a shortened version of it it still gets used a lot and everyone, except those that speak the language it originated, mispronounce it. School was a nightmare and I was bullied as a result of it. So OP, no, if you like it that much, change your own name to it.

Probably not unless your permanent residence is a caravan

Unpleasant.

UnctuousUnicorns · 09/10/2025 15:52

Agree with pp - just stick with Beulah if you like that sound.

Donttellempike · 09/10/2025 15:51

butterfly0404 · 09/10/2025 15:45

Lilah-Belle is much nicer

Not for a real life person.

PumpkinSeasonOctober · 09/10/2025 15:51

Chavvy!! Go with Lilah.

Womanofcustard · 09/10/2025 15:50

Please make it stop!

Bloozie · 09/10/2025 15:50

Every aspect of that name needs spelling out, every single time. There is no way anyone could ever hazard a guess of how to spell it. It will sound like 'Bowlieluh'.

Or actually 'Bowleeluh'.

Which is another good point. You can't hear it and confidently spell it, and you can't read it and confidently say it either.

Is it Bow-Lee-Luh? Bow-Lie-Luh?

It's also a male and female name smashed together.

I'm out.
