Please say which one you prefer ! (Polite request not to tell me why you don’t like one of them or both of them just which one you think is nicer) :)

Both good solid names. Personally prefer Joshua.

Er, both Elijah and Joshua are Old Testament names. Pretty dated in both cases!

I like both.

I don't think I know any Joshuas who haven't ended up as Josh at school. So you'd have to like "Josh" too.

Joshua is always shortened to Josh and I know a few that have tarnished the name.

What about Jonah as another option not quite as popular but similar to both.

I really like them both actually, but I think Joshua has been popular for several decades now, so perhaps go with Elijah, it might seem a bit fresher? But just follow your instinct.
