Junior school lots of girls called Anne, Susan, Jane, Janet, Pamela, Barbara, Patricia. We had a Zoe, which was considered very exotic. Boys were John, David, Peter, Paul, Simon.
At all girls secondary it got a bit more interesting, and some I remember were Davina, Regina, Kaye, Dene, Kirsten Hala and Moniza.
i wonder where all the Annes and Susans went😂

Lots of standard British names like, Rachel, Rebecca, Caroline, Victoria, Jessica, Julia, Louise, Jennifer, Nicola, Amy, Laura, Gemma, Jenna, Alison, Anna, Heather, Natasha, Sophie, Sarah, Claire, Lauren, Michelle, Helen...also some Irish names (I am Irish)

I went to an all girls school, so no boys in my classes, but the boys I hung out with outside school were all things like John, Jamie, Charlie, Paul, Mark, Dave

Compared to my kids' classes now, these are quite boring^^

Sjkeb · 05/10/2025 22:03

Several Julie's. Caroline, Deirdre, Jackie, Pam, Tracy, Sarah, Susan. That kind of thing

Dogaredabomb · 05/10/2025 22:01

SpottyAardvark · 04/10/2025 00:18

In my school year there were around 70 girls. Five of them were called Sharon, and three were called Joanne. Among the lads there were about four Kevins. You won’t be surprised to learn that this was the 1980s,

Ah yes, and remember the 3 Julies to every class. As well as Debbie, Samantha, Dawn, Wendy, Tracey, Carol, Linda.
