Which middle name goes best with Agnes?

Hello all!
Looking for a middle name for Agnes and was wondering what the general public thinks of these:

Agnes Elsa
Agnes Elsie
Agnes Essie
Agnes Élise / Elise
Agnes Elyse
Agnes Elvira

As you can see from the poll I have a thing for names that start with an E 😜

Other names we like are:

Agnes Iris
Agnes Lovisa
Agnes Vilhelmina

Or can you think of names that you think we would like...

Some of you had some great new suggestions on middle names, unfortunately we are already decided on Agnes so that won't change 😂

But it stands between:
Agnes Elise
Agnes Elyse
Agnes Lovisa
Agnes Anne
Agnes Anna
Agnes Sofia/ Sophia

I like Eliza, but I like Elise more.
I also like Vilhelmina, but it's just a bit long...

I might make a new poll between Elise, Lovisa, Anne and Sofia...💕

I like the traditional English spelling of Elise (rather than Elyse which makes me think of the Champs Elysee or Elysee Palace). Though it is an old form.

I like Eliza, but I like Elise more.

My DM who is called Agnes would tell you to find another name. She hates it! Thankfully she has always been called Nancy.

Jane is a filler middle name and is definitely not defiant. Smile

My very first thought was Jane.

sorry but I don't think any of them work! There's too many e and s sounds in most of those names to go with Agnes. Nice names but they just don't work together.

I agree. I really like names that flow well (not everyone is bothered by it though) and although the names are individually nice, they don't flow together. These might work as a middle?

In all fairness when was the last time someone asked your middle name? I wouldn't worry about whether it works well or not as long as op likes it

Well to be fair mine was on all my professional documentation and on my regulators website so it came up a lot! I ended up having to sign an affidavit so it could be removed as they wouldn’t otherwise

What about Agnes Elinor. I like the Old English sound of both.
Also Nessie is a good nickname option :)

From your lists, I'd discount Essie and Iris immediately.

I like Agnes Elise and Agnes Elvira.
I also think Agnes Vilhelmina is really nice, and Agnes Lovisa too.

@ResusciAnnie Lovisa is a high street jewellery shop but as a name it’s the Scandinavian/germanic form of Louise.

Agnes Louise is nicer than Agnes E--. - the e-E is jarring.
Lovisa makes me think of Love is a battlefield. Smile

I feel fairly sure it will revive. It's of the ilk of other names that have.

In any case, op has chosen that bit of the name and clearly directed us to the middle name.
