Middle name for Elowen

My friend is expecting and has chosen the name Elowen but is stuck in middle names. I like Elowen Rose but I think it may have been done to death. I said I would ask.

i would describe my friends as quite nature oriented people.

@Emanwenym yes, some are older but the “oldie” names are on a comeback round here! I know an Emrys (about 7 years old) and a baby Emlyn too. We had a few classics on our name list

I know a few Elwyns but they're older men, maybe about age 70.

My first thought was Rose, before I saw any of the posts.
I think one syllable works best after a three syllable name.
Who cares if it's been 'done to death' ( I suspect it hasn't anyway)?
If it's a lovely name, and it 'works' then use it.
Elowen Rose.
(It autocorrects to Eileen 😂).

Elowen Rose is gorgeous. Rose is chosen often for good reason.

Is the surname short or long, starting with which initial?

I still think Rose is lovely when you say the entire name, as it's a middle name, it won't be used very much.

I believe the Cornish pronunciation is EH-LOWEN. But I have friends who use the pronunciation ELO-WEN.

*I'm not Cornish but I've lived here for many years.

Edit and I've tried to find the poster commenting on pronunciation but can't find it now?! So this seems out of context, apologies.

PP is right about the 'wyn' being masculine in Welsh, but Elowen isn't a Welsh name. Cornish is a close relative of Welsh.

Indeed it is Cornish! I was going by the PPs posting Elowyn, we do hear both names here in Wales, I guess as our Welsh equivalents!

Lovely name. Perhaps there are some Cornish middle options too?

No suggestions for a middle though, sorry OP. I’m struggling to decide on my own girls first and middle at the moment too

Rose has been done to death along with May and Grace. It’s every girl’s middle name.

I think it needs something longer like Elizabeth or similar.
