I knew a Cherry at school, I like it. Someone I know called Cheryl also goes by Cherry as her nickname.

Yeah definitely don’t opt for Cheryl as an alternative! I’d also steer clear of Cherry too, sorry! Just sounds a bit rough to me.

My best friend since school is called Cherry as is one of my daughter’s friends Nana’s. It’s a lovely name 😊

Cute and I know an adult Cherry and it suits her (quirky, likes retro 50’s style, although it’s a nickname for her). But yes, just like Virginia and even Mary, I think you are likely going to risk teasing in the teenage years as the virgin jokes are obvious.
