We both like Daisy and Clementine, but want a bit more of a shortlist to play around with. Does anyone have any name ideas that are similar-ish?
Other names we’ve thought of - Bea, Heidi, Evie. But not loving those enough.
I do like the name Rose, but it’s always been my sisters favourite name, so I’m letting her have that one haha!
Thank you!

Constance/Connie

Another vote for Marguerite.
Though as you've always liked Mariette why not use that, it's such a very pretty name.

I went to school with a set of sisters called Clementine, Daisy and Matilda

Just saw your last message / I think Mariette is a wonderful name! Unusual but really pretty nn could be Mari or Ettie

How about Marit instead of Mariette?

Or Marguerite? French for daisy..

If you like Clara, would you like Lara or Flora?

@CoriolanusSnow I've never heard of a cow called Clementine, though tbf I don't know many cows. Are you sure you don't mean Ermintrude?
Daisy always make me think of David Copperfield - hard to take it seriously, but there are worse names.
There are hundreds of names OP; you must know the ones you like.

Zinnia, Perunia, Primrose (any others from Darling Buds of May?)

Marigold
Juniper
Juno
Holly

Oh my goodness, I love that you’ve said that ☺️ The Darling Buds of May is my all time favourite series! When I was little I always wanted a daughter called Mariette! But now as an adult I’m worried it would be too ott for a name? But maybe not?

True about the cows 😂 thing is that I used to be a teacher and it’s tarnished a few names for me sadly haha - sadly Iris is one 😢😫 I do love Clara but my husband doesn’t which is a shame. And we did both bring up Bonnie the other day but then remembered Bonnie Blue, so that put us off. Names are so hard! I ironically had a lot more boy names than girl names lined up. I’ll just have to keep playing around with different combinations

Daisy and Clementine sound like you’re naming a couple of cows.

Iris is lovely and a lot less bovine.
