We both like Daisy and Clementine, but want a bit more of a shortlist to play around with. Does anyone have any name ideas that are similar-ish?
Other names we’ve thought of - Bea, Heidi, Evie. But not loving those enough.
I do like the name Rose, but it’s always been my sisters favourite name, so I’m letting her have that one haha!
Thank you!

Daisy and Clementine sound like you’re naming a couple of cows.

Iris is lovely and a lot less bovine.

I love those names! But I guess other ‘cow’ names are Mabel, Marigold, Magnolia, Clover, Iris and Ida.

I also love Briar and Beatrix.

Please use Clementine. It was top of my list but I had two boys.
I am rather partial , these days, to Calliope, Phaedra, Persephone, Cassiope.

Cecily or Viola also have that kind of vibe. As do Jemima, Christabel, Emmeline, Rosemary, Sylvia/Sylvie. (IMO of course)

Pemba · 29/08/2025 03:17

I think Daisy and Clementine are both really pretty, but not super popular, which is good.

Jessamine or Jessamy has a similar vibe, and also quite unusual. Maribel or Amabel too.

I much prefer Marianne to Mariette tbh.

Oh my goodness, I love that you’ve said that ☺️ The Darling Buds of May is my all time favourite series! When I was little I always wanted a daughter called Mariette! But now as an adult I’m worried it would be too ott for a name? But maybe not?

Mariette is ten times more elegant than either Daisy or Clementine!
