Baby boy name

Hi everyone, we have a dd called Madeleine and expecting a baby boy in the next few weeks. We are really struggling with names though! For some reason I am finding it really hard to find a boy's name we both like and that goes nicely with our daughter's name

On the list of potentials so far we have:

  • Raphael (which is my absolute fave but husband is less keen)
  • James (which is my husband's top pick... I think it's ok, but I would prefer to use it as a middle name, ideally with Raphael as the first name if I get my own way!)
  • William (my dad's middle name, but husband less keen...)
  • Rupert, but not sold on this
  • Jacob, but ditto above
  • Leo, but v popular in our area!

Any other suggestions would be very gratefully received!! Thank you!

I actually really like PPs suggestion of Maxwell!

Of your names OP I think William is the nicest and goes the best with Madeleine.

More suggestions for you:

Madeleine & Theodore
Madeleine & Edward
Madeleine & Benjamin
Madeleine & Sebastian
Madeleine & Thomas
Madeleine & Frederick
Madeleine & Christopher
Madeleine & Matthew
Madeleine & Tobias

Raphael is lovely. How about Felix or Quentin?

Rupert I really dislike!

Raphael and James are a long way apart! Joshua?

Love Raphael / Raffi for short
james very safe, agree middle name
William was my favourite too, Billy for short, we ended up with it as middle name for various reasons.
agree with you on the others, think Leo has been too popular for too long

Would you call him Jameson with the NN James? I think that matches perfectly with your DD.
Lots of Leo's and Jacobs ATM. Don't like Rupert or Raphael, what would the NN be? Cause even if you don't name him one, his peers will.
Love William but don't think it's the right vibe for your DD name.
Oooh what about Maxwell, your 2 little M&Ms 😅 I love matching initial siblings.
Ideas,
Maxwell
Jameson
Jude
Oooh really like Nathaniel too.
