Boy/girl twins - Elliott and?

I’m 28 weeks with boy/girl twins. Since we found out we’ve been dead set on Elliott as a boys’ name. But we have no idea what to name our baby girl! We have a two and a half year old DD, Cleo, as well.

Any help?!

I wouldn't go for a name with L in it as it might sound a bit much with Elliott and Cleo.

How about Josie, Daisy, Mia, Nancy, Penny, Sophie, Gracie, Jessie, Ruby

I know two Elliots. Sisters are Jane and Olivia.

I love Cleo and Elliot.

I think Delilah goes better with them than Dorothea but then I think Dottie or Dolly go better with them than Delilah and Dorothea would almost inevitably be shortened to one of those two. So I don't know. (helpful!)

How about Daphne? Or, going more left field, Danica or Demelza?

Ellie and Kelly! Only messing op- Delilah or Dorethea are both fabulous choices.

I was thinking of the song more tbh but I was trying to put you off without mentioning them 😬 She may get ‘My my my’ - the song isn't that pleasant. Look up the lyrics and see if you’re ok with that. The name is increasing in popularity so it’s clearly not putting everyone off.

I'm 32 and associate the name with the song hey there Delilah (plain white tees) which was popular when I was about 16/17 (I think)
Could explain all the little Delilahs now.

My own is named Elliot! You won’t find many around, but I think is a lovely name ❤️

theysayimthespitofyou · 13/08/2025 21:59

Cleo is such a lovely name! You have excellent name taste. I think loads of those suggested already would work. I like Orla maybe but is that too many vowels with Elliot?

Firebird83 · 13/08/2025 21:55

Elliot this spelling is the usual first name. Elliott is more often the surname spelling.

Elliot and Delilah sound good to me.

Poodlelove · 11/08/2025 21:20

Choose a female poet as you have chosen Elliott ( C.S Elliott,)
Emily ( Emily Dickinson)

Let us know what you end up with! I like Dorothea for the shortened options (little Dot is just too cute). Good luck!
