Opinions on the name Madison.
I love it and think it is so classic and elegant. The popularity is putting us off however I feel like it won’t be that common for our little girls generation.

Madison Lilia Bates would be her full name.

I quite like it.

Feels American to me too as in Madison Square Gardens and the U.S president it's named after. Definitely not classic. Not keen.

Ddakji · 02/08/2025 10:41

I also don’t think Madison is classic in the least.

Is this for a girl? I don’t even know if it’s used for a girl or a boy!

Charabanc · 02/08/2025 10:40

Madison is the opposite of "classic and elegant".

LadySuzanne · 02/08/2025 10:40

I wouldn't describe it as "classic and elegant".

Do you really want your child's potential full name on a public forum for which the posts are searchable on Google?

I like it! It feels quite American rather than classic to me, but it’s a nice name that’s not overused (in the UK anyway).
