It would be short for Susanna or Susannah - not sure which spelling I prefer.

Lovely

Just no. It’s so dated

Everyone would have that that about Edith 15 years ago. Names come around

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 01/08/2025 20:56

I like it, you’ll be ahead of the mid century revival

I love Susannah too. I prefer it with an h which is the usual spelling in the Uk so it will also be easier.

NightPuffins · 01/08/2025 19:56

Susie is lovely! I prefer the spelling Susannah. I also like Sanna as a shortened version too.

Pennyplant19 · 01/08/2025 19:44

Absolutely lovely name. And unusual for a baby now - won’t be lots of others!

Rosybud88 · 01/08/2025 19:37

I used to go to school with a girl called Suzy (spelt like that) and I always thought it was such a pretty name.

Radiowaawaa · 01/08/2025 19:35

It’s beautiful. I’ve always loved Susanna (spelled that way like the song), my best friend at primary school was a Suzie (80’s).

Louoby · 01/08/2025 19:33

Awful, so dated and an old unfashionable name.

Zov · 01/08/2025 19:32

It's quite cute actually. Suzannah - or Susannah, with it shortened to Suzie yeah...

DramaAlpaca · 01/08/2025 19:32

I love Susannah. Susie isn't my thing, but it's fine.

HarryVanderspeigle · 01/08/2025 19:31

I like it. Suzie feels like it firs well with modern names too.

thornbury · 01/08/2025 19:30

My niece is 32, she's called Susan but hates it and we all looked askance when my DSis announced her name. She's been Susi for ever. Suzanne or Suzannah are more commonplace now than Susan.

Aliksa · 01/08/2025 19:23

Oh I love it!

AnniesMother · 01/08/2025 19:23

I love it. Really cute. Susie as a baby/ toddler is adorable. Suze as a teenager works, and Susannah with the h is classic and balanced

Emanwenym · 01/08/2025 19:06

I like the name Susan. Susannah and Susanna are both nice. Susie is lovely.

Novanonplus · 01/08/2025 18:08

Just no. It’s so dated

GeniuneWorkOfFart · 01/08/2025 17:35

Susie is great!!

I like Susannah best. It looks unfinished with out the H on the end.

BoleynMemories13 · 01/08/2025 17:34

My mum, as a Susan (who goes by Sue), would tell you this is most definitely not due a comeback any time soon (she hates her name bless her) but if you both love it that's all that matters.

You'll be ahead of the curve, as I give it another 20 years yet before Sue names start making a comeback (alongside Carol, Linda, Debbie, Sally, Sharon, Wendy etc).

Moreteaandchocolate · 01/08/2025 16:24

So gorgeous! Love it! And there won’t be another in her class 😊 I think Susannah is the most usual spelling?
