Feminine Sounding Boys Names

I am a ‘frilly’ name person, I mostly like three syllable names and two middle names to match mine and DH’s. I have such an easier time with girls names, my girls list is close to a hundred names I would use but it’s so hard to find boys names I even like.

Lots of people on here seem to hate the boys names I like, calling them ‘wet’ or ‘feminine’ (as an insult?!) and assuming they’re going to get bullied- in my experience that isn’t true but is besides the point. If anyone has any names they like (or hate!) for boys that fit that criteria I would really appreciate hearing them.

Some examples of boys names I like:

Constantine
Gabriel
Augustine
Christian
Leander
Alistair
Ambrose
Dorian
Isidore

Op I’m so sorry but your whole list to me would be a list of names that stand out for the wrong reason:(

If DD had been a boy, she’d have probably been Lucian. We’d have pronounced it more like the American way but the English way is quite frilly I think.

I like this style of names too! For boys my tops choices would be
Corin
Julian
Aurelien
Gabriel
Gael
Nathaniel
Sebastian
Casey

Love Florian, might have to add that one thank-you!

Nice isn't it? It means 'flourishing'.

I've always liked Florian... might be something to do with a German boy I met on a school exchange who was just absolutely gorgeous...

Love these. Gabriel was on my list but we had a girl. Also like Lysander. Perhaps look at some of the Shakespeare and or Greek/Roman names.

I've worked with a lot of children and the handful of Gabriel’s have been lovely without exception. Also it’s the perfect name to choose if you aren’t finding out the gender, they pop out either Gabriel or Gabrielle. Never met a Lysander but it’s very pretty.

Arlo
Louis
Albie
Adam
Francis
Lawrence
Sidney
Reuben
Josiah
Bowie

I'm not saying these are feminine as such but I think fit your criteria quite well, aside from most not being 3 syllables.

Eastendboysandwestendgirls · 23/07/2025 16:28

Rowan and Francis always sound very feminine to me.
