Is Finn ok on its own? Or is it too nicknamey like Ben/Tom/Sam etc..?

Sorry for all the posts, my best friend and I are both pregnant with boys and it's all we've talked about today!!

Hi spareparts. I have a Finn and he is luscious!
Go for it!!

InigoMontoya · 27/05/2008 08:45

Most excellent name.

DonutMum · 27/05/2008 08:44

Hiya, my DS2 is Findlay (scottish spelling) - Finn for short. It's lovely. Of course. My next one is Logan, due in July. Finn has a lovely meeting too - it means "fair warrior" in gaelic. I like names that mean something. Logan is "little cove" which I think of as a safe harbour.

Cecy · 27/05/2008 03:48

It's a bit fishy

mananny · 27/05/2008 03:33

My nephew is Finn. And he is delicious.

bluewolf · 27/05/2008 01:09

S1ur · 27/05/2008 01:05

All good. Finn best.

GrimmaTheNome · 27/05/2008 00:25

Finn much nicer than the others.

spareparts · 27/05/2008 00:23

Thanks people. I'm (or should I say we're) considering Fintan and Finlay too as a birth certificate name but to always be known as Finn.

Oooh, decisions decisions!

wrinklytum · 27/05/2008 00:12

I like it

ChasingSquirrels · 26/05/2008 23:48

I think it is fine - but then it was my name of choice for ds2 (not the name he actually ended up with as EVERYONE I knew, including H, said "Finn" with such complete disbelief when I mentioned it)

S1ur · 26/05/2008 23:48

duh obv.

roobis · 26/05/2008 23:48

i love it!

S1ur · 26/05/2008 23:48

Love it. Do it. Gorgeous.

But then I like Sam and Tom too. (though in those cases I name thomas and maybe Samuel)
