We have two boys already called Joseph and Samuel. There’s a few names which we like but just aren’t completely set on any of them. Some of them have nicknames which we don’t mind, although we do prefer the full name, which will be on the birth certificate.
Reuben
Benjamin
Isaac
Charlie
Alexander
Louis
Patrick

TIA

Benjamin and Alexander. are fab. The others don't go with your other 2 boys names IMO.

emily598191 · 17/07/2025 18:43

I love all of these! Im currently trying and my
two top boys names are Max and Bobby

Toomanyweedsoutthere · 17/07/2025 18:35

Jacob was my first thought. Benjamin goes well too.

BunnyRuddington · 17/07/2025 08:08

From your list I like Patrick, Benjamin and Alexander, in that order.

How about Abraham?

Beautifulsunflowers · 14/07/2025 17:29

Joseph and Samuel were on my list for my second ds
I went with Isaac
I think that name goes really well as a strong name in itself, and as a nn
Joe, Sam and Zac

I usually suggest others but don’t feel the need to this time!

Emanwenym · 13/07/2025 18:47

@fhhhd , Bear in mind that Reuben and Isaac get misspelt a lot on here.

Goldencats · 13/07/2025 18:36

to fit with your biblical name theme best I’d go with

Reuben
Benjamin
Isaac

Of these, Isaac is probably the best name.

Dandelionsand4leafclover · 10/07/2025 17:32

From your list Benjamin or Issac are my favourite

Cocktailsandcheese · 10/07/2025 17:22

I think Reuben or Benjamin are the nicest and both go well with your other boys' names

WayneEyre · 10/07/2025 16:41

Isaac or Patrick

BoleynMemories13 · 10/07/2025 16:29

Benjamin fits perfectly. Second choice would be Isaac or Reuben, to continue the Biblical theme, but I do also like Louis.

I do like think Matthew, Thomas or Daniel would fit perfectly too, or maybe Adam?

CarpetKnees · 08/07/2025 19:39

I would be wary of anything biblical unless you are very religious

a) Why ? Clearly OP isn't concerned about the names been used in the bible. For all we know, might have specifically chosen them because of that.

b) Those names have been popular through the ages, and as such, I don't think people specifically associate them with the bible now anymore than thinking of people they know, or know of, who have those names.

Fizzysticks · 08/07/2025 11:37

You’ve got some lovely names on your list and any of them would go nicely with Joseph and Samuel.

A few others are…

Saul
William
Adam
Bram
Rupert
Oliver
James/Jamie

BristolHelp · 08/07/2025 11:02

Benjamin is lovely. Isaiah isn't on your list but might go well too!

MiddleAgedDread · 08/07/2025 10:55

I also think Benjamin goes really well with your other 2 names.
Joseph, Samuel and Thomas
Joseph, Samuel and Matthew
Joseph, Samuel and Oliver
Joseph, Samuel and William
Joseph, Samuel and Luke

Emanwenym · 08/07/2025 10:37

Patrick was the one that jumped out at me, and Paddy is cool, but my favourites are Charlie and Ben.
I'm not keen on Reuben and Isaac. Nothing wrong with them, they're just not names I'd pick.
Alexander too long. Louis a bit too current.

JillyGiraffe · 08/07/2025 06:48

I think Benjamin or Isaac would go best. Or how about Thomas?

CuriousA · 08/07/2025 00:01

I love Louis, Reuben and Isaac.
I think Benjamin goes well too, or Charles nn Charlie.

Other ideas - Thomas, Arthur, Gabriel, Matthew, Edward, Daniel, Oliver

CarriMarie · 07/07/2025 23:23

Isaac or Benjamin

ninjahamster · 07/07/2025 23:13

I’d choose Isaac.

RosesAndHellebores · 07/07/2025 23:09

As you have two Old Testament names already, I think Benjamin is perfect. What about David? Adam?

ColinCaterpillarsNo1Fan · 07/07/2025 23:07

Xavier
Benjamin
Claude
Charles
Sebastian
Alexander
Christopher nn Kit

ForFunGoose · 07/07/2025 23:05

I would be wary of anything biblical unless you are very religious. I don’t think you need to match the names either, pick a name you like rather than one the goes, he deserves his own identity.

From your list I like Charle and Patrick

I have three boys too, good luck x

LucasBuck · 07/07/2025 23:00

I’m always tempted by elegant and timeless Alexander but of your picks I think Benjamin just works so brilliantly with his brothers names - as all are traditional Biblical stalwarts that have rarely left the Top 100 (or never have in Joseph’s case) with friendly sounding nicknames in Joe, Sam and Ben (if they want to use them when older) and the full versions are internationally well known/used and won’t date or give away social background. Great choices.

CarpetKnees · 07/07/2025 22:31

Another who thinks Benjamin 'goes with' your other two sons' names.

I also like Alexander.

If you aren't calling your older two Joe and Sam, it seems strange to have Charlie on your list, rather than Charles.
