Please feel free to correct any spelling!
Also, I'm not saying they're specifically posh, just not the regular sarah, claire, sophie names and certainly not mckenzie and brooklyn.
I normally research deeper into spellings once a name has been chosen. These are just ones that I've read and don't immediately hate and then dh has gone and taken more off.

You seem to like similar names to me… mythological ones. One of mine is Elysia from the Elysian Fields (‘blessed one’). I might also add Genevieve, Persephone, Athena and Niamh to your list

SheSpeaks · 05/07/2025 21:32

Three syllable names (to go with Madeleine) from outside the top 500 in England and Wales:

Deborah
Angeline
Cassandra
Claudia
Meredith
Samantha
Liberty
Agatha
Natasha
Caroline
Mallory

If you want a horsey name then how about Clarissa or Bill?

Way too many different names for different sausages in france, I didnt know half of them until filling out their forms for delivery and the menu in the wards 😅
So that's crossed off the list.

Also lots of names on here that have already been vetoed gaaahhh
Maybe we'll just call her dave and be done with it 🤔

Davina is a very pony club name!

The made uppey ones are the opposite of posh. Irregular spelling is the giveaway.

mathanxiety · 04/07/2025 23:53

A lot of the names on the list are really weird, made uppey, and a far cry from 'ponies, and luncheon at the tennis club'..

How about
Eloise
Alexandra
Harriet
Juliet
Winifred
Philippa
Alicia
Leonora
Louisa
Seraphina
Penelope

lms2017 · 04/07/2025 23:44

You mean like the royal family? The names they use now and historically, Elizabeth, Mary, Alexandra, Charlotte, Anne, Louise, Beatrice, Victoria.

Those are the types of names that truly posh, people use. The poshest family in the country. For example.

You seem to be after Nouveau riche frilly names.
Evangeline
Genevieve
Araminta

Edited

Actually Genevieve and Araminta are v pony club, although the latter so much so it’s a joke.

The Royal Family take from a v narrow list of names, but the UK upper classes have often liked a bit of flounce, especially for girls, although the OP has mixed it up with Disney
