They are the most entertaining things on MN by far. I'm completely addicted. And I don't just take the piss either, I just love em.

i still don't get it.
names are a personal choice. you are setting yourself up for ridicule and disappointment by asking opinions.
or is it a bit like going on jeremy kyle? misguided craving for approval?

For some reason I'm compelled to look - like a car crash! But in general I think they're horrible - some people seem to think 'honesty' is an excuse to be terribly mean and to state as absolute fact what is in actuality just their opinion.

agree AbbeyA. Usualy it's a love em or hate 'em though isn't it? There seems to be a group who like traditional names and the other lot who think making names up and giving them "unusual" names is a good idea.

I love them. It's the one topic I always have an opinion on. Mind you, if it's a negative opinion, I try to just think it rather than post it.

I don't know why I like them-I will never have to name a child again! I think that it is in RL you have to bite your tongue and be polite-on here you can be honest.
