What’s your opinion on the name Hannah?

Bonus points for middle name suggestions too

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I agree with some pp as I see Hannah is a dull frumpy old woman, it almost lacks personality I think, I see it as plain as Jane.

Anna is lovely and classy.
Skye is lovely.

Hannah Skye DOES NOT sound good in any way together- you are taking a really old boring name and putting it with something more modern with character and ‘fun’ vibes.

Skye Anna goes better.

or Skyler Anne

Radionowhere · 18/06/2025 23:28

Obviously the middle name should be Banana 🍌😄

See for me it would be the other way round! Anna seems like an older ladies name to me than Hannah for some reason!

Agree! Love Hannah.

Amicompletelyinsane · 18/06/2025 23:24

As a Hannah, got to say I've never had any issues with people calling me Anna. I exec live some where the accent would drop the h yet I've never had an issue

forthistimeonly · 18/06/2025 23:19

She will he first in her class to spell her name backwards.
I think it's a dull name. Sorry.

Crikeyalmighty · 18/06/2025 22:54

Lovely classic and classy name

CherryPinkAppleBlossomWhite · 18/06/2025 22:51

My Hannah is 10, she is the only one in her school and she loves her name.

socks1107 · 18/06/2025 22:49

I Have a Hannah, I love her name as does she

Yellowgoldsunshine · 18/06/2025 22:30

It's nice and traditional but very 1990's

SherlockHolmes · 18/06/2025 21:57

It's worth it when someone asks you to spell it as you can just say "two of everything darling".

Ivytheterrible2025 · 18/06/2025 21:45

My Hannah is 21.
She loves her name.

manicpixieschemegirl · 18/06/2025 20:52

I’d put Hannah in the same category as Sarah and Rachel; dated, drab and ordinary.

Anna is much more timeless and softer sounding.

Snugglemonkey · 18/06/2025 20:51

Love it. Classic and beautiful. Second name suggests:
Elizabeth
Beatrice
Juliette
Jessamine
Madrigal
Ottilie
Xanthe
Fern
Margaret
Camille
Vivien
Rosalind

I don't like the name Skye, but if you do, that should be her name!

manzilkid · 18/06/2025 20:49

I know a Hannah Louise, lovely young lady

Thewayshetalks · 18/06/2025 20:34

I’m Hannah Lucia and I’m in my 30s, there wasn’t any other Hannah’s in my year at school and I have only met one other since in the working world, had loads of people comment it’s a nice name.

BeckyWithTheGoodBear · 18/06/2025 20:31

I love Hannah, much prefer it to Anna.

Enko · 18/06/2025 20:26

BootballJoy · 18/06/2025 11:54

I've always much preferred Anna. My mum used to say Hannah was an old lady's name and she couldn't understand how popular it became in the 80s! I've never liked the H bits.

Im the complete opposite i much prefer Hannah to Anna and think of Anna as a old ladies name (and rather unimaginative) I think the "H" adds style.

I know a Hannah Jean I always thought that worked well

PlumpAndCircumstance · 18/06/2025 20:26

scotspancake86 · 18/06/2025 12:05

Ohhh I love the name Hannah! Hannah's are always lovely peopleSmile.

True that, never met one I didn’t like.

AcrobaticCardigan · 18/06/2025 20:26

Hannah and Anna are both boring and dated IMO. More middle aged woman than beautiful little baby!

lilacao · 18/06/2025 20:24

I like it

PlumpAndCircumstance · 18/06/2025 20:22

Timeless classic

MostArdently · 18/06/2025 20:21

My sister is Hannah. It’s a lovely name, nicer than Anna for me.

Hallywally · 18/06/2025 20:20

Awful name. Very dull and dreary.

Ivytheterrible2025 · 18/06/2025 20:16

Hollyhobbi · 18/06/2025 11:53

I know a 21 year old Hannah.

I have one of those! 😍

GiddyDog · 18/06/2025 19:44

Hannah was my great-grandmas name, she was born in the 1920's, we considered it for DD.
Lovely name and Skye works well as a nickname and gives it a nice modern twist.
