I met a nice woman called Blakely recently. It ends with a y, but it is quite unusual and androgynous.

xanthe and charis are very girly anyway

Enid · 23/05/2008 20:04

charis is a type of drug

aiti72 · 23/05/2008 20:03

Hi, I'm looking for a same type of name, but many of these names suggested are very girly and 'soft' or then way of the top like Byron or Duffy. I like Xanthe, Charis, Zola...

Enid · 23/05/2008 19:56

Christ what is it with people getting het up over names.

Its an open forum, surely she can ask ideas for names ffs.

Mavornia · 23/05/2008 13:14

Mrsbadger, you don't need to shoot me down in flames for suggesting Harriet

I thought it wasn't overly girly (especially if she ends up being a tomboy and getting Harry as a nickname) and not so common nowadays

surely it's for the op to comment whether or not it's to her taste rather than you saying what a stupid suggestion it is

I was only trying to be helpful

PuppyMonkey · 23/05/2008 13:14

Wotcha going for?

I posted a serious one, Madeleine btw...

cadelaide · 23/05/2008 13:09

Any that you like then, theory?

Seriously?

Enid · 23/05/2008 12:53

[slightly crushed]

theory · 23/05/2008 12:49

thanks for your ideas-- I appreciate it. And for those of you who seem annoyed that I asked, isn't that what the board is for?
