Hiya, we are expecting a baby girl this month and still have a very long list which needs narrowing down. Please can I have your opinions on our list below.
Our surname begins with F and ends with an ee sound, middle name will be Elizabeth.
Freya
Lily
Grace
Eleanor
Beatrice
Abigail
Rebecca
Naomi
Anna

Beatrice is lovely

Considering your surname and Elizabeth as a middle name I like Beatrice, Rebecca or Grace.

Have you considered Elizabeth as first name instead? Elizabeth Grace is lovely. Lots of nice shortening options like Betsy, Eliza, Libby

I would pick Freya, Abigail or Anna.

They’d be the ones I’d choose as well. I’d avoid Lily or Naomi because if your surname ends with an “ee” sound it could end up sounding a little nursery rhyme like.

Freya - lovely if it sounds good with your F surname?
Lily - nice, but maybe a bit bland as popular for many years?
Grace - nice but a bit of a risk as it stands out when you meet an ungraceful Grace
Eleanor - nice, but I find this a little bland as it’s been very popular for ages and Ellie’s have been everywhere for decades now
Beatrice - the full name feels quite formal to me and Bea a bit informal - there’s not a good middle ground day to day version imo
Abigail - love this and Abbie is a great useable nn
Rebecca - not keen - too many in older generations and they are all Becky / Bec
Naomi - the pronunciation variations would bother me
Anna - nice

I would pick Freya, Abigail or Anna.
