I can’t decide on the name for my son

Hi, I very badly need someone’s help. I live in Italy, with my Italian husband. I am Ukrainian myself. Our first daughter is Nikita and for our son I wanted to chose a name that would be slavic but still modern and international, and easy to understand in Italy. I am going crazy as nothing sounds perfect. I was thinking of Alexander (Sasha), Victor, Maxim or even Ian or Philip. But i am not able to understand if they are modern and good enough? What do you think?

Alexander 100% from your list.

Maxim sounds a bit condom brandish.

And please not Ian!

I love Sasha. Also Maxim, Artem and Yehor.

Is there a Slavic equivalent to George?
I like the Italian version Georgio.

Yes Georgii or Gosha

I’m no expert on the regions, but there are some Ukrainian families in my community and these are some of the male names that might also work with Italian:
Tomas
Milen
Ivan
Drago
Milo

I also like Victor and Philip from your list.

I would avoid Ian or Philip they are both quite dated.

What about Aron, Milo, Arlo, Anton?

These names are not very slavic, apart from Anton…which my husband likes… I am not fond of it as I don’t understand it very well. I think it’s very straightforward and has very little possibility for diminishing? I don’t know really…

I absolutely love alexander with the nickname Sasha!
I wouldn't worry about if they'll be perceived as modern enough, just go with which in you like best!
Some other suggestions:
Casmir nickname cass
Luka
Leo
