At school in the 1980s.
Girls, I seem to remember quite a few Amys, Sarahs, Jennifers and Lauras. I grew up mostly in Scotland, so there were more Scottish names among them too - I remember Eilidh and Catriona being fairly popular.

Boys - I remember a lot of Alexanders and Davids, other names we heard a lot would be Andrew, James/Jamie, Callum, Cameron, or Stephen/Steven.

I have a non-British name, so didn't have anyone with the same name as me in my school back then! But my kids have grown up around far more kids with non-British parents and my name isn't that uncommon now.

1979 baby, so secondary school in 90s- the names I remember most multiples of were Catherine / Kate in various forms, Matt/ Matthew and Christophers who were all shortened to Chris.

Also quite a lot of Sarah, Claire, Emma, Jane, Caroline, Andrew, Gavin, Steve.

I'm a 1983 baby. We seemed to have a lot of Gemma's all the way through primary and secondary school. And quite a few David's on the boys side.
