Fussy/Frilly, not a fan.

I do like a lot of El names, Eliza, Eloise, Elora etc, but I find this one quite harsh. The hard 'ar' sound spoils it for me. I imagine she'll just end up as Ellie anyway, which seems to defeat the object of picking a long fussy name.

I know several. For some reason this is a name kids are pedantic about so when one Eliana tried to tell me it's pronounced between Elana and Eyana not Ell-ee-ah-na she was contradicted by the queen bees.

Lovely name. She might become Ellie, but she also has other nice nn options (e.g. Lana).

For me it merges into a whole bunch of names so I wouldn’t find it distinguishable enough - Eliana, Alana, Elianna, Alanna, Elina, Elena, Alina, Aliana, Alaina. But it’s pretty in itself.

Pretty and elegant, if a bit frilly, but realistically the likelihood that she’d just get Ellie/Elle as soon as she’s at school seems fairly high.

My daughter’s name so my opinion is biased, but she gets compliments on it really regularly.
