it's ok, I suppose (dh's name, but neither of us love it particualrly)

Bernie infinitely better (but be prepared for people to assume Barney)

and yes, in the States, it is berNARD, as pointed out previously

Tatties · 20/05/2008 17:50

Oh yes Bernard Sumner, that's good

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2008 17:50

i ha guinea pigs called brenard and emily

they turned out to be bernadette and emil

artichokes · 20/05/2008 17:48

I love it
DH very much does not

bossykate · 20/05/2008 17:47

if he ever goes to the US he'll be berNARD.

Aw. Honestly, I would think aw. And then I would think of St Bernards, and Nursey from Blackadder, and that would make me smile. And then I would think of Bernard Sumner which would cause me to have True Faith stuck in my head for the rest of the day, which would be no bad thing. Oh, and I would also think of Bernard Cribbins. In Doctor Who, which would then make me think of David Tennant and cause a faraway look to come across my face ... ahem.

utterlyconfused · 20/05/2008 17:47

I'd think "He'll grow into it" and assume he'd be a Bernie.

Tatties · 20/05/2008 17:46

I'd think of Alfie's friend in the Shirley Hughes books

misdee · 20/05/2008 17:46

lol bossykate, thats what i think as well.

micci25 · 20/05/2008 17:45
