Lucy.

I've always found Jennifer to be an unpleasant name! Reminds me of Lucifer. I don't mind Jenny but it isn't as classy as Lucy.

Apologies if any Jennifer's read this! I like you all individually 😂

I agree. I hate my name, Jennifer.
I wish my parents had just called me Jenny. I will happily tell anyone I meet (politely) not to call me Jennifer.

They’re both lovely, simple names. I prefer Lucy though. I went to uni with a Lucienne and she normally went by Lucy.

Firsttimebabymummy · 03/05/2025 10:30

Prefer Jenny by far.

Would use Jennifer on BC. Also like Jen nn.

However I really like Lucinda!

100 per cent Jenny

Dustmylemonlies · 02/05/2025 22:34

Lucy

My step mum is Jenny so my vote is definitely for Lucy

netflixfan · 02/05/2025 16:13

My dd is Lucy and she loves her name so do I. It was my grandmother’s name.

Escapingagain · 02/05/2025 16:07

Lucy

Jenny in fully or Jennifer? I love Jennifer nn Jenny/ Jen. Bit fresher than Lucy . I like Jenna too which I think is Cornish

Lucy.
Both names are lovely.

MojoJojo71 · 01/05/2025 22:51

Definitely Jenny

I have a Jennifer. When she was little she insisted on her full name but now she’s 12 she’s usually Jenny or sometimes Jen if she’s trying to be a bit more grown up, I’ve always loved it and haven’t across another girl with the same name yet.

We did consider Genevieve as an alternative which could also be shortened to Jenny/Vivvy/Evie

SeanMaguire · 01/05/2025 22:18

Love both. But I think a little Jenny would be more unusual and so lovely.

rosydreams · 01/05/2025 22:00

my daughter is called Jennifer and we call her jenny for short its a lovely classic

Moreteaandchocolate · 01/05/2025 21:58

I love both - Lucy is one of my favourites, so pretty yet it’s a classic that suits all ages, and it’s not hugely dated to a particular era or overused. Easy to spell / pronounce too.

Jenny is quite dated but I adore it, and I think a little Jenny would be gorgeous 😊

I would pick Lucy by a small margin.

Lucy is a weird one for me. It seems to suit a young child, or an old lady, but not so much a woman having a career. Though neither does Jenny suit a 30 year old professional. Jennifer gives a broader scope.

GoodVibesHere · 01/05/2025 21:37

Lucy

Seaforme · 01/05/2025 21:37

Jenny is lovely, very cute.

17caterpillars1mouse · 01/05/2025 21:36

I would love to meet a little Jenny (or Jenna). Lucy is nice but I seem to know quite a few (8 year old, 3 5/6 years old, 2 3 year olds and a 5 month old)

IsThePopeCatholic · 01/05/2025 21:36

Lucy. Jenny is boring.

Mandarinaduck · 01/05/2025 21:29

I prefer Lucy but they are both nice.

MLC27 · 01/05/2025 21:28

Jenny

really don’t like the name Lucy
