Brother for Goddess-named sisters

Name changed for obvious reasons. I've shot myself in the foot with this one! I have two daughters, Artemis and Juno, and now I'm expecting a boy.

The obvious choice would be a mythological or God name, but I'm struggling to find one I like.

For context:
Artemis was named due to links to Artemisia of Caria (kick ass Persian naval war commander) and the Goddess as my Middle Eastern surname has a similar meaning to "Hunter".

Juno was one of the few names we had on our list and we just felt it suited her when she was born.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Caspar has always been on my list for a boy but it's the only name I have right now and DH is equally at a loss for ideas!

Not exactly a god but Cyrus. I think it means sun

Cyrus has been on my list before, I'm half-Iranian so it's a good link to that 😊

Thanks all!

Name doesn't necessarily need to fit the theme, but having ideas of where to start if it were to fit is hugely helpful!

And yes, I'm very aware of how pretentious my kids names are, it wasn't intentional 😅

It’s got to be Atlas!

Jujujudo · 24/04/2025 09:29

I like Troy… not a god but sort of in the theme, sort of..

Summatoruvva · 24/04/2025 09:26

Another vote for Hector.
I had a major crush on him at 17 when doing
a classics A level.

Frostynoman · 24/04/2025 09:23

Or as others suggest, pick a different bunch of deities.

What about Lowen?

HugoYorway · 24/04/2025 09:19

Ptolomy?

HugoYorway · 24/04/2025 09:16

@DoNoTakeNo , Jayden was my initial thought but it was a toss-up between Kayden and Brayden, to avoid Artemis feeling left out initial-wise.

Borracha · 24/04/2025 09:15

I have a Caspar so think it’s a great name.

(and my Cas is the opposite of ‘wet’)

Solasum · 24/04/2025 09:15

Atlas
Apollo
Odysseus

I love Loki, wondering if we'd be asking for trouble with that namesake after having two very strong minded girls who certainly live up to their namesakes 😅

I’ve always loved Loki too. I think a boy would love that name and could grow into it too. It sounds like you have a family of strong personalities which would be needed to carry that name well!

Hmm. Problem is, you've got a Greek Goddess and a Roman one.
I'd suggest Hector, not a God but strong mythology link

I really like Hector. I also liked the suggestion of Alexander.
I'll throw Troy into the hat.

Yes, didn't think that one through unfortunately. And husband wasn't sure on Athena when Juno was born. Guess which name is top of his list for a girl now? 🙄

Kayden

Jayden.

Or Hugo, in honour of this rather kickass name!

PrincessOfPreschool · 24/04/2025 09:12

Caspar is very wet next to those names. The poor kid will be a bullied little brother. He needs to have a bit more personality.

How about a Norse God? Odin, Thor, Loki?

Greek: Apollo, Hermes

Roman: Jupiter is Juno's brother. It's quite out there but not the context of your other names.

Failing that Dave or Bob are excellent names.

Paaseitjes · 24/04/2025 09:11

Something seriously Shakesperian like Lysander or Oberon would also work

paranoiaofpufflings · 24/04/2025 09:11

You can’t go wrong with Odin or Thor!
