Hi,

What's your top boy name suggestions for a blonde, blue eyed, pale boy? Who is more soft and sensitive nature, yet very expressional and has jokes.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Julian
Oscar
Benjamin

Depends very much on where and when he is born and his family background. An upper class English boy is very unlikely to be called Liam. A boy from the Gorbals is unlikely to be called Crispin or Florian.

If it's for a fictional character, you need to think about what kind of name his dad would choose.

Florian, Fabien, lucien, crispin

Oh yes! Florian or Crispin!

Katiesaidthat · 23/04/2025 10:24

I wasn´t sure what him being blonde and blue eyed had to do with anything, but the Casper suggestion made me laugh, so it has my vote.

Must be a character in a story.
Not many come out,all wrinkled and frowning like Winston Churchill shouting ''Knock knock......''

Calliopespa · 23/04/2025 10:21

What about Nigel?

How old is he that he has all these characteristics and you haven't named him yet?! Or are you writing a book?

My thoughts exactly 😊

Calliopespa · 23/04/2025 10:19

Aubrey?

Colin
Timothy
Malcolm
Cedric
Percy
Liam
Ian

I think of all these as ‘wet blanket’ names… aka ‘sensitive’ ? (Judgemental, I know!)

This made me laugh, I think the exact same way, although Liam is fine, Ian is a bit blah. Adding Martin to your list (I often tell DH I wouldn't have married him if that was his name 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️).

I think you need to give more context OP, if it's a book then is the character still a child in it? When is it set?

Ambrose - assuming it's a book character. TBF when babies are born, patents often change their minds because the baby doesn't seem to match the name. DS, for example, just didn't look like a Hugo. I know a couple of blonde and sensitive young men: William and Jonathan.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 23/04/2025 09:51

Oh, and the word isn't 'expressional', it's 'expressive'. He is expressive.

MrsPositivity1 · 23/04/2025 09:51

Michael

Sounds like my lovely dad - he was Peter

If it's for a character for a story, remember that the parents naming the child won't have known he'd be pale and sensitive when they named him. And also that his name should reflect his class, age, race etc.

You can always give him a very untypical name that he has to explain to everyone - call him Tyson or something...

😆

How do you know this baby is going to have this personality? Or that he is going to stay blonde/be blonde as an older child/teen/adult? Confused

Or is it for a book? Grin

Basil (like Fotherington-Thomas). The trouble with that is that most people (my age, anyway) will think of Basil Fawlty instead. Ah well.

Eh? As you’ve posted on Baby Names, I’m assuming the baby hasn’t been born yet, so how do you know they’d be blond, blue eyed, pale and sensitive???
Unless you want suggestions for a different reason.

Assuming the poster is naming a character?

OP, people’s parents generally name them long before they have any idea of their character. Hence his name is unlikely to have anything to do with what he’s like. I know a professional rugby player, built like a shed and a raucous character, with a soft-sounding feminine name. One of my NCT group called their baby Buzz. Buzz was just an ordinary, tiny baby. He might grow up to be a tattoo-covered hard man, or a gentle, soft-spoken viola player.
