Middle name for Daisy

DH and I have just found out we are having a girl. We already had Daisy picked out as a first name, so that’s locked in.

We need help with middle name suggestions though. We would like a short sounding middle name as our surname is double barrelled, but want to avoid ‘Daisy May’ for example.

I think it needs a middle name with some substance.
Anything that looks like a filler middle name is likely to look and sound twee.
Anything naturey is too flowery.
A four syllable name will make the full name long.
-y followed by a vowel might not flow.

I'd recommend a relative's name or a name you love but wouldn't use because it usually gets shortened.

Daisy Bea or Daisy Beatrice/Beatrix

Re Daisy Jane - when I say it makes me think /hear Daisy Chain

Anything but May/Rose/Grace which is every Daisy’s name currently. Boring.

Daisy Katherine
Daisy Rebecca
Daisy Jasmine
Daisy Annabel

I actually think these sound best. A proper distinct, middle name instead of a hyphenated sounding name.

Daisy, Katherine, Jenkins

Rather than Daisy-May Jenkins or Daisy-Kate Jenkins

BottleBlondeMachiavelli · 18/04/2025 00:24

Jane, Jennifer or Eliza.

Daisy Beau
Daisy Maeve

Kate1234567 · 17/04/2025 19:50

Daisy Ruth?

Lots of Daisy Jane suggestions but it sounds like daisy chain to me so I would personally avoid that.

HugoYorway · 17/04/2025 15:37

You've got the perfect name there @PeatandDieselfan !

PeatandDieselfan · 17/04/2025 15:10

Hmm, I like Daisy Bea, Daisy Joy, Daisy Love that have been suggested.

Maybe Daisy Beatrice, instead of Daisy Bea, as could be a cute nickname to shorten it but sounds less twee as an official name.

Creasing at the hill Billy/boat names thing, I’m not going to be able to forget that now. Time to convince DH of a longer middle name 😂

Daisy Rose is slightly silly as they are two different flowers. Daisy Beau is awful - it doesn't even have the cuteness of Daisy Boo.
Beau is masculine. Daisy Belle is not awful.

RavensMom24 · 17/04/2025 10:05

I know it’s been said but Daisy Beau is beautiful ❤️ possibly a bit more common but Daisy Rose also works well. Good luck OP and happy choosing xxx

RightOnTheEdge · 17/04/2025 09:50

I agree with you OP. I think the longer names sound the best.

Daisy Elizabeth is lovely and so is Daisy Charlotte.

I really like Daisy Florence as EmeraldDreams73 suggested as well.

Firsttimebabymummy · 17/04/2025 09:41

Daisy Elizabeth is lovely
Daisy Kate
Daisy Jean
Daisy Lynn

Or something 2 syllable but short such as Alice, Emma..

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 17/04/2025 09:15

I like the sound of a longer name. Elizabeth sounds lovely. I would avoid anything related to Margaret including the less obvious ones such as Pearl because Daisy is a diminutive of Margaret too.

Mumofgirls2017 · 17/04/2025 07:09

Love Daisy!

daisy maeve
daisy kate
daisy belle
daisy joy
daisy juno
daisy florence
daisy lyra
daisy alice
daisy cora
daisy clara
daisy alba
daisy neve
