ooops. hi there weds!

controlfreakyagain · 15/05/2008 23:25

if she's crying in a corner it's a small price to pay for dropping this name as a sane idea for her poor dd...

RainyWednesday · 15/05/2008 23:24

Ouch

I was shopping online.

It's the name my grandmother is known by, so it has pretty good connotations for me.

Her little sister's called Bluebottle.

Spidermama · 15/05/2008 23:22

Come back Wednesday. Were you serious? I think at this late hour you can't expect to get away with Moth. And I'm the one who staunchly defends unusual names normally.

To be fair I have had a life long phobia of moths.

anorak · 15/05/2008 23:22

X posts Wendy

anorak · 15/05/2008 23:21

I agree I don't think much of moth, but I notice the OP hasn't come back - do you think you've scared her off taking the piss so gleefully?

LyraSilvertongue · 15/05/2008 23:20

funnypeculiar · 15/05/2008 23:18

Ah, now, my dad apparently quite seriously suggested I be called Drusophela (sp) - the latin for fruitfly - as he thought it 'sounded lovely'. My mother thankfully vetoed it.

WendyWeber · 15/05/2008 23:18

Oh, are we having a let's take the piss night?

(God, I hope so, aaaaargh otherwise)

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 15/05/2008 23:17

Spidermama · 15/05/2008 23:16

Darnit Bree you sucked my mind. I felt it.

LyraSilvertongue · 15/05/2008 23:15

You may laugh, but there's a girl in DS1's class called Moth.

Spidermama · 15/05/2008 23:15

I would steet you away from Moth because she might get called Moth the Goth or Frothy Moth.

How about Cockchafer?

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 15/05/2008 23:15

If you are not impressed by Cockroach try this ............

Cockchafer Grub

I'm getting fed up of these silly name threads.

PosieParker · 15/05/2008 23:14

Moth is a nocturnal thing, not really associated with anything positive, so no I don't like it.
