I have a DD and a DS
Love both their names

Now, I either think "meh" about names or I can't reach agreemetn with DH (he won't let me have Miles and Amelia the fucker)

I never had this problem with the other two!

I've been trying to think of names all bloody day and can't think of many.

It's so hard isn't it? I think everyone has had a dog called Ben, we did, and DP's nans dog is Ben too.

How about Joe, Blake, Lucas, Adam, Clark, Drew, Christian, Oliver

Girls, Polly, Amber, Cerys, Briony, Bronwyn, Rose, Charlotte, Jessica, Maria..

Bethany is lovely I'm sure it would have been on our list for a girl, DP loves it.

sweetkitty · 16/05/2008 14:32

hatrick - I don't mind sharing we have decided on Bethany, I want Bethany Grace DP not too sure. She can be shortened to Beth then, it has 3 syllabels so suits our surname, it's about 87th in the top 100 so not too common and it's completely different to the other two but they all kind of complement each other when screamed by stressed out mother as I'm sure they will be.

I think you should say sod it hatrick and go with Ezra if you love it, Nico is nice too though.

DD1 had our favourite girls name

DD2 has an unusual name that I absolutely love now

DD3 (due July) we hadn't a clue despite loads of MNers suggestions, our surname doesn't flow with a lot of names as well so doubly hard but I think we have decided on her name. I wasn't too sure at first but every name I think of I think no it's not as nice as X. And I'm amazed both DP and I agree.

My boys name was Elliot also like Matthew and Nathan

I really love Amelia but too close to DD1's name. Also like Millie, Niamh, Eilidh, Molly.

EffiePerine · 16/05/2008 14:08

so we have established that we all have excellent taste in names

I have to say I really like Nico, think its a very strong name for a boy and can't be shortened to anything horrible. Idon't dislike Ezra, but I do prefer Nico

Magnus is nice, I like that.

hatrick - If you like Ezra you should go for it. When we told people the name we had chosen for ds1 got lots of 'oh - where did you get that from'. Which is nice speak for 'oh- why did you chose such a nasty name?'. But when discussing names for ds2 the same people were saying ds1 name really suits him and couldn't think of a better name for him. Your son your choice of name and stuff the rest of the fickle world!

PS - I had ds1 in April 05. Think you had your dd2 then. Good luck with no.4, I some times think 4 would be nice but think I've run out of patience!

fruitloopsareallaroundme · 16/05/2008 14:04

How funny, we had Magnus and Gilbert lined up for our boy. we couldn't find one person who liked them!

MamaG · 16/05/2008 14:02

love Clara

OP posts:
EffiePerine · 16/05/2008 14:01

Clara is one of the middle names we have

VictorianSqualor · 16/05/2008 14:00

For girls I like Clara or Leah.

EffiePerine · 16/05/2008 14:00

We are veering between Magnus and Maximilian atm. Dh has remembered some obscure mad rellie called Max and is wavering

this had better be a girl - would be SO much easier

cyteen · 16/05/2008 13:59

Heh, I'm not allowed Ben as DP's best mate is called Ben and DP spent many hours of their childhood in enthusiastic name-related teasing We have surname issues as well: the child is getting both our 3 syllable surnames; his is full of Ns, mine is full of Ls and also sounds rather like a command.
