A name like Linda but “younger”

I love the name Linda but it’s very 70s to me and makes me think of a 50-something woman rather than someone young

I know a 20 year old Linda and she suits her name. It means beautiful in languages like Portuguese and Spanish. Having lived in Spain I just associate the name with the word beautiful.

This thread is mad. I don’t get why you give any stuffs for what other people think, whether it’s a name more popular 50+ years ago, if you like a name you like it! Linda is a proper name. Lindy is awful (Linda “Lindy” Snell from the Archers is of a certain vintage), so how Lindy is “young” but Linda “old” is weird.

Is anyone else on this thread thinking of the episode of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt where Titus freaks out because the name of his new boyfriend's baby turns out to be Linda, and the only people he knows called Linda are women in their 50s who work in HR? And the episode ends with a room full of Lindas who do indeed work in HR?

All the Linda's I know are 90s babies! It's a nice name, I think you should go for it.

Love the name Lena, it was on my list this time but I had a boy. I also don't mind Lucinda.

I don't think you should go Rosalind, I know a few Rosalind, Roslin, Rosalin, Rosalie, Rosaleen.. people always get their names wrong unfortunately no matter how many times they are corrected.
