Philippa, Cassandra or Imogen

We have a Charlotte (Lottie) and I’m torn between these three

Cassandra (would be Cassie)
Philippa (Pippa)
Imogen (Immy)

please help me pick!

I have an Imogen so I have to put this top, she is 25, we do call her Imy or Imo she doesn’t mind either.

we now have baby Pippa!! (Philippa) and it suits her so well. Love it. Thanks for all the advice

also did google the meaning of Pippa in tons of other languages. Think she will have to be a full name Philippa when she visits Italy, Sweden, Greece etc

Lovely! Lottie and Pippa go so well together and I love that you used the full names Charlotte and Philippa.

I have an Imogen. We can her Immy as much as we call her Imogen. I prefer Imogen of course but Immy just rolls off the tongue.

To be fair you end up with other weird names for your kids anyway. I've got a friend who calls her son Jake 'Pog'. There's a story behind it I'm sure.

Pippa - not keen, Pip is ok
Immy - not keen

Despite preferring the other two long names, i'd pick Cassie.
FWIW, I don't like Cassia, and Mimi is awful.

I never really understand this choosing to shorten perfectly beautiful names. Imogen is a lovely name which in my opinion is uglified by the nn Immy. Why not say Imogen? We have a 3-syllable name for our youngest and it's only rarely shortened to one syllable (a nice-sounding one). Imogen is lovely but I hate Immy.

Pippa is nice, Philippa is beautiful, likewise Cassie / Cassandra. The longer names are so musical, such a shame to shorten them

Philippa is my favourite of those and I like it.
i quite like Imogen as it is Shakespearean but am not a fan of Cassandra with its connotations of doom.

All lovely names and lovely nicknames. As adults the philippas I know mainly go by their full name or Pip, Cassandra’s as full name or Cass and Imogen’s as full names.
