@RedOnyx it's my best friends sons name! I think I'm going to have to accept that we will know someone with a similar name but trying to steer away from the same as family and close friends. I think we'll discount Leo for the same reason, I was just about to add it to the list as well 🤣 honestly girls names feel so much easier!

Yes we definitely prefer names with a softer sound. Dad's name begins with 'H' so slightly different but just for boys names I'm not as keen on the harsher sounding names. One of the names on your list is DH's name 🤣 but I do love it. I also do like Leo, I had steered away from it as understood it was incredibly popular but it's a lovely name

How about Leon if you like Leo? Or Leopold with Leo as a nickname? I also know a little boy named Elio, pronounced "Eh" (as in the beginning of Elephant) then "Leo".

This should have said "DD's name"

It's so hard isn't it! I just don't love anything really. Joseph is a lovely name - again we can't use it as one of our best friends children is Joseph. This is the issue with having kids in your late 30s there are so many other kids already

Tbh I’d just go for Joseph if you really like it! It’s a popular enough name that it isn’t “weird” if both kids have the same name if that makes sense.

I'm in the same boat with names op, loads of girls names we like but not too many boys and we're having a boy.
I think we have settled on Joseph now.
