wow. I think my uterus will fall out if I keep going past 4! But tbh, that website makes me want to have lots and lots - I haven't seen the TV show, but they look like sweet kids and a really happy family.

cadelaide · 10/05/2008 23:34

how spectacularly unimaginative

Nighbynight · 10/05/2008 23:33

18 kids, home ed and a house? how do they do it?? and respect.

MsHighwater · 10/05/2008 23:12

I find myself imagining the teenage rebellion potential in this family!

colacubes · 10/05/2008 23:10

My Lord, this women must never have a headache!!

MsHighwater · 10/05/2008 23:07

They had a family website but it seems to have been taken over by Discovery channel here.

chewlips · 10/05/2008 22:59

Have seen a documentary on them before. They are home ED, they built most of the house themselves and did it as an exercise on costing etc as part of their home ED.

When they go on "vacation" the parents get them all to wear similar colours so she can easily spot them.

gigglewitch · 10/05/2008 22:48

that's a few too many kids. my work is cut out with three

MerlinsBeard · 10/05/2008 21:32

they built that huge house themselves IIRC

llareggub · 10/05/2008 18:59

It also said on the documentary that they have no debt at all, not even a mortgage.

TakeMeHome · 10/05/2008 18:44

They believe that every child they have is a gift from God. So everytime she gets pg then it is meant to be.
I am amazed that her body, particularly her womb has held out.
Good luck to them.
I dread to think how much it costs

LouLou13 · 10/05/2008 17:29

I admire them actually - watched them on tv and they were all very happy, mucking in - they are like the waltons! They seem to be comfortable that they are a little 'different' - respect.

MerlinsBeard · 10/05/2008 15:58

i keep seeing this family on discovery health. its not something i am comfortable with personally but its not my way of life and they do seem happy.

MadamePlatypus · 10/05/2008 15:52

Yes, I stand corrected angels!

glaskham · 10/05/2008 14:06

I saw a documentary on this family, i have to say they did seem very happy, the older kids help younger ones etc, all help mum with housework etc, dad works as somethign like a constuction manager, and he designed the house they live in (the one in the pic)

good luck to them if they can cope with that many kids, 2 is more than enough for me personally!!

zippitippitoes · 10/05/2008 14:00

nice looking house

hellish · 10/05/2008 13:56

Very interesting that her kids seem to be in same sex groups. She had 3/4 girls in row and 6 boys in a row.

theangelshavethephonebox · 10/05/2008 13:45

the older girls do a lot of childcare

midnightexpress · 10/05/2008 13:39
