Opinions on Alma or Eliza.

We find girls names so difficult to choose from but seem to be coming back to these two!

I prefer Eliza as a name but I love how Frank and Alma sound.

Persista · 22/02/2025 22:35

Ena?

HannahMama88 · 21/02/2025 22:37

@xRobin Nora was actually our top name but our surname starts with ‘V’ and we couldn’t shake the association with Norovirus 🙈 it still makes me sad now as I love the name!

'Frank and Alma' sound good together!

MarshmallowClouds · 21/02/2025 20:17

I think Penelope (Penny) goes well with Frank.

RuthW · 21/02/2025 18:55

Eliza is lovely.

I always think Alma is an ugly sort of name.

MumonabikeE5 · 21/02/2025 18:23

Eliza! Great name.
like Frank it’s unlikely to be shortened.
but is definitely a solid name.

Dolambslikemintsauce · 21/02/2025 18:23

Not Elizabeth..
Frank and Betty Spencer....

@LoudPlumDog I actually love Norma, husband not so keen but I’m going to try and get it back in the shortlist!

I love Alma and Norma!

If he isn’t keen on Norma what about Norah?
Or Nina? Nina is super cute.

Frank and Nina.

speak2me · 21/02/2025 18:17

Sylvia ☺️

KayEmAy · 21/02/2025 18:16

Eliza

Nellsbell · 21/02/2025 18:10

Eliza is lovely with Frank. Alma seems more unusual if that’s your thing though.

Frank and ..

Amy

Eliza of the two I think - retro/hipster cool “nickname” style like Frank. Although if Frank is something longer on his BC then I’d go for Elizabeth (nn Eliza) - but if not, then Eliza works well.

Kahless · 19/02/2025 22:02

Betty, Doris, Ethel

BreezyAquaCrow · 19/02/2025 22:01

There are twins in my daughter’s class called Frank & Alice. I think those names go together well.

Mumofgirls2017 · 19/02/2025 21:58

Eliza 🥰

Lemonademoney · 19/02/2025 20:57

I love the name Esther - husband vetoed it but it’s still an absolute favourite of mine

No-one has said Betty?!

Elizabeth could be shortened to Eliza or Betty or Beth or Liz...

CalliopePlantain · 19/02/2025 20:51

Alma of the two. Although if it were Elizabeth that would be my choice.

Norah?
Ailsa?

Stichintime · 19/02/2025 20:51

Leigh?

SquawkerTexasRanger · 19/02/2025 20:50

I really like Alma

BaMamma · 19/02/2025 20:50

No-one has said Betty?!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 19/02/2025 20:49

Not keen on Alma.

I love Wendy.

Firsttimebabymummy · 19/02/2025 20:47

Prefer Eliza.
