Middle names for boden?

Thoughts on the name Boden (nick names Bode or Bodie)

And middle names (we like more classical middle names) or ideally a fire and earth name

If you think that's rude, you DEFINITELY shouldn't be calling the wean 'Boden'.

You'd need a skin as thick as a rhino to withstand the years of utter hooting derision you and the poor child will be up against.

I know two lovely boys called Boden (middle class area) and it sounds great. It’s in the top 900 names.

Poor children have to live with the names their parents pick for them. Think of the embarrassment at school - even if the children won't know what Boden clothing is until they are 40, their parents will make fun of the name and the poor sod will be teased at school mercilessly.

This is actually true. So if your child ever visits a German speaking country they will be introducing themselves as "Floor" and that could cause some amusement/raised eyebrows!

In the UK Boden is the clothing retailer and, unlike Zara, has never been an accepted first name as far as I can recall. It's a surname if at all.

It's what everyone will be thinking but too polite to say to your face. Do you want to be viewed as the most amandaland cliché mumsnet middle class mum on the planet? Because calling your kid Boden is the best way to do it. If you don't mind the hippie vibe Bodhi is better or Brodie if you like the surname thing

What about Brodie/Beau instead? Or just use Bodie
