I think people would pronounce it as michel which would then seem french

Call him Michael.
It's classic and you'd be ahead of the curve.

I like the thought of honouring the Italian heritage, but wonder if Mikele might be shortened to Mick, which strikes me as a funny name for a little one. I dont particularly like any of your other choices, they're all very of their time.

No, they don't. There is no K in the Italian alphabet. It is Michele. 'Che' makes a hard K sound.

Yes, in the UK that reads as Michelle so I personally wouldn't use it if you live in the UK.

My husband would like to use it to honor his father that's why we wanted to go with the k instead of the che, I like how it sounds It's just the spelling that's a problem

All the Jordan and Morgan's I know are girls in their late teens/early twenties.

Logan is naff

And if you are choosing an Italian name then spell it the Italian way or he'll be forever explaining it

HugoYorway · 26/02/2025 15:58

@LeopardsANeutral One of dad's mates down the pub sums it up perfectly.

What's wrong with Mick? It could be Mic or Mik, or Mika or Mike.

Nothing wrong at all with Mick! I just couldn't imagine a "baby Mick"! Mick conjures up thoughts of my dad's mates down the pub! I suppose all names come back around though don't they.

HugoYorway · 26/02/2025 12:26

I'd say it compares to Cillian and Killian, Madeleine and Madelyn, Gillian and Jillian or Jane and Jayne, and one version is classic and the other a bit modern but a bit naff.
The others are acceptable spellings of traditional names.

LochKatrine · 26/02/2025 12:26

Jordan is an awful name.
How about Michael?
Matthew, Lucas, Caleb, Nathan, Max.

Logan. Really don't like the mangling of Michael/Michele/Mikakkaiiaekale.

chattyness · 10/02/2025 17:44

I like Morgan & Logan best

comoatoupeira · 10/02/2025 14:22

Michael in Italian is Michele, not Mikele. In Italian, a ch is like 'k'.

Wishing4Snow · 10/02/2025 14:21

I like Morgan the best from your list. 😊

What is it about Katie price and this name, is it considered a chavv name in the Uk?

It was her lads mag nickname, when she first became famous mostly for one thing (well two things) that's the name she was known by.

HugoYorway · 09/02/2025 17:07

Isn't that a bit like spelling Caitlin as Katelyn (i.e. naff)?

HugoYorway · 08/02/2025 17:37

Then it's not a nod to your DH's heritage. You might as well spell it Mickailay.

Morgan ...unless you have a surname that could also be a first name .that leads to confusion

HugoYorway · 08/02/2025 17:37

MyAmusedHelper · 07/02/2025 16:53

You are right, but we changed it because it would be michele which is a girls name
